This is what we woke up too. Joe got up first so he got to deal with it... and I got to listen! I hear Joe say, "What did you do?" Lane, "The girls got into mommy's stuff!" Joe, "What stuff, her makeup?" Lane, "No, just her stuff!" Joe, "ERRRRR" Then I hear Lane say, "Daddy they put it all over my walls." Joe stomping to the bedroom, "What did you do!!!" (that was a bit louder) Then I hear Joe say, "You girls get in the corner!" Then I hear Eliza say, "I won't never do it again, never!!!" and then crying. "I want mommyyyyyy!"
She always wants the one that she isn't in trouble with. So usually during the day I hear, I want daddyyyyy! Yesterday Eliza was mad because I wasn't going to take them to the store because they were being naughty and I figured I could get it done much faster if I just went by myself today. So Eliza says, "huh, I just want Daddy." So I said, "Fine you can have Daddy." She wasn't sure how to respond to that so she said, "Well, Good." That was it then she was totally fine. I don't get her! Oh yeah I know I'm WAY off the subject now but speaking of her attitude can I just tell you how much of a difference this month has been compared to last month! She is 100% less emotional. We're definately giving her the shots from now on! Okay back to the story!
This is when I come out and Eliza says, "Mommmyyyy" Just as pathetic as you can imagine. I start making breakfast and then after a while in the corner I send the girls in to clean up their mess! Emma & Lane decided that they would help the girls out. Which was pretty nice of them I thought! They scrubbed and scrubbed and still we couldn't get it all off. Can you guess what they got into???
A while ago they broke the door off of the hinges but it was a really cheap door so with many attempts to fixing it, it finally gave up the ghost several months ago but we still could pull it up against the door frame and close it. Well today they opened the door and then proceeded to jump on it and break it in HALF!! So we no longer have any type of door for their room.

Do you see the hand print on the front of her dress!!! I love it when she decides to wear church dresses and then ruin them. I'm just hoping that it comes out in the wash! Smudge on the forehead! It must have been hard work! Lane has been telling fibs lately so we weren't sure if he was involved. However, Emma pointed out that he didn't have black hands like the girls so he probably didn't get into it.
Olivia, little stinker! She has been just as mischievous as Eliza lately!!!
And what did they get into... My ink pad that I use for scrapbooking. They took the big part of it and just wiped it all over everything. I found ink on my washing machine, door frame in the kitchen, of course their bedroom and who knows where I'll find more! Livvy's hands were black she looked like she'd been hand printed not just finger printed! :)

No FUN!! Hope it comes out of everything...eek
Oh no!!! I hope it comes out of everything and that the church dress isn't ruined.
One day you will be able to look back on this and laugh - probably not tomorrow, or even next week, but one day....
Take care!
Yvette
Try amonia - My friend is a housekeeper and she has a mix that is made with amonia, a little dishsoap, and water. Maybe windex with some dishsoap would do it.
I'd had some marks (crayola markers, crayon, pencil and colored pencils) on my white walls for months that nothing would get out. I was ready to repaint and just waiting for the artistic phase to finish before I bothered. She tried her magic potion on it, and my walls are almost perfect again!
speaking of amonia, Bridget has the mixture on her blog, go check it out. so far it has gotten everything out I have used it on, but then again, no one has found my ink pad! I am so sorry, you deserve a break after that. I was thinking with that title to your blog entery I was going to see pictures of snow, not that to wake up to. I might have had two less children, you guys did great not killing anyone.
Good luck. You have my sympathy and understanding. Let me know how the Ammonia and soap works out. I use a combination of this to shampoo my floors, instead of the expensive cleaners. I got it from someone who knows her stuff. if it works on wallstoo I would be thrilled.
oh no! that is never good! hope it all comes off. and dang on the door. shoot. have a door that is that way too.
Oh, no!!! What a way to wake up to! Not fun! I hope all the amonia, soap, windex...works for you!
Yikes! Have fun with that one. At least it wasn't Lane this time. I hope it all comes clean for ya.
So far I have never had any of my kids get into my makeup... I'm gonna go knock on some wood now.
:)Rachel
Ugh--- Niky did this one time too! With Ink pads- she only use them for all over her body, but it was a huge mess! It makes ya nuts though! Get out your magic eraser because that inkis sure hard to get off.
And I have to add that you should have thrown a piece of paper or somehting infront of them with a bunch of numbers running across it for there jail pictures. They look totally guilty of a crime!
I'd give the magic eraser a try - no idea about the clothes.
They look pretty guilty, don't they :)
Oh my goodness, I can not imagine waking up to that. I hope it cleans up easier than it looks.
Oh my gosh! I think the two upsides I can find to this story is that ink pads are relatively inexpensive (in comparison to say a whole bag of ruined makeup, for example) AND, Jo found it first.
I'm with those that said the magic eraser that would be my first thing to try.
I hope you guys can get it all cleaned up!
Oh my goodness! I have no words! That is the worst thing to wake up to! I hope it gets clean. Email me if you need tips for getting it off.
Ha.. I just read Laura's offer to give you tips and thought, if anyone would know SHE would!!!
Oh man.. seriously would be shipping those kids off to grandma's for a while!!!
Have you seen those wooden gates that screw into the wall? You need to get 3 of them to stack on top of each other as a door so there is NO WAY they can get out until you let them out.
I am just waiting for these things to happen to us.
Did you hear Pres Monson's last talk during todays morning session? I loved the last couple minutes of it when it talked about trials and Father helping us through them, not rescuing us from them.
OH my!! My day is coming...my little ones will someday get into all of my craft stuff and really send me to the nut house...I just know it!!
Hope it all cleaned up ok...
Rubbing Alcohol. We are experienced in that area. My daughter (3) constantly finds permanant markers and colors all over everything (including her little brother) with them. They take it off like a dream. Just be careful not to inhale the fumes!
Good luck!
now I know why you call it catastrophe... (did I write it right?)
be patient my dear...
Hey Serious! I am new to your blog, but we have girls that look near enough the same age! Sorry about what you had to wake up to. I feel for you.
WOW, I would die! I'm thakful for everyones cleaning tips I have a few spots I need to work on with my 2 year old running around!
I am speechless. Holy moly.
OH NO!! It doesn't matter how many times this sort of thing happens - it's ALWAYS so frusterating. Try magic eraser - that seems to work for us. For carpet I use oxy clean. Good luck! I hope you got some "me" time afterwards to regroup. ;)
Sorry, I am laughing and laughing...so funny. The expressions on the "mug shots" you posted are hillarious! In my classroom, soft scrub worked to get perm marker off stuff. Good luck...hehehe! :)
Oh wow I'm SO SO SO sorry! I don't deal well with that kind of crap! I hate that! good luck getting it all cleaned up!
