Lane has been doing really great with his Eliza inflicted owie! The night that it happened he woke up and was pretty winey so I asked him if his head hurt. He said it did so I gave him some Tylenol. His first dose since it happened and then I had to give him some in the morning. Other than that he hasn't had anymore. He's quite the trooper.
I had a couple of questions about how he did while getting the staples. He did FABULOUS. When we first got there the triage nurse put some numbing cream on his head and then when we got into a room the Dr injected more numbing drugs. Lane didn't even flinch for that, AT ALL. He was just staring at the TV which was playing sponge bob. Something I don't allow my kids to watch but that was the only cartoon on so I figured if it was helping then whatever. When the Dr did the staples Lane twitched just barely and that was just from the noise, I think. But he never cried or moved or anything. The nurse held his head between her hands and that was it. He kept his arms down on his own and was really good. I think he must have a high tolerance for pain. The Dr commented that he wished he had 21 year old guys that were as good as Lane was. I thought that was pretty funny.
Anyway, all is well in the land of chaos. No more crazy injuries and he's outside playing as we speak as if nothing even happened. He does however love to show off his head. Eliza & Olivia are constantly asking to see his owie and he's more than happy to show it off. :)

WHAT? I swear sometimes its crazy when you are trying to catch up on someones blog to read from reverse. I better go find out what happened. Glad he did well with everything though and that its all settling down again.
YOu know if it were an adult with staples in his head, we would be laying down for two days or until they came out. hehe Great job on his part.
It's such a huge relief when they are such troopers. :)
With those great pictures you got, he'll have something to brag about for years!
wow brave boy! it's awesome he did so well!
Wow! That is impressive. Probably also helped having that TV on...even if it was Sponge Bob.
What a trooper!
oo! that sounds painful to get stables in your head. I'm glad Lane did okay and didn't fight with the nurse. ( my sister and I were just talking about sponge bob and how we forbid it because it's such an ugly cartoon. I've never even watched it before. I just think it's an ugly cartoon. hahahha)
How did I miss the what happened post? hummmmmmmmmmmmmmm I read every post, too.....
