Yesterday I got some pliers out to fix the shredder and I forgot to put them away. So I left to work out and while I was gone Lane found them and took them to Joe. Lane said, "Mommy forgot to put these away!" and so Joe says, "OHHHH, well she's FIRED!" Lane & Eliza both say, "NOOOOO, you can't fire mommy. I don't want her to go away!!!!" When I got home the first thing Lane says to me, "Daddy said you fired". I was thinking OKAY.... Not knowing what he was talking about and then Eliza says, "Mommy, i don't want you to be fired!" Then Joe finally told me why they thought Daddy was going to fire me! :)
Then this morning on PBS there were some fish on it and Eliza goes, "Heeeyyyy! Daddy makes food out of fish!"

oh, I'm sure he wouldn't fire you. how will he?
I'm sure they couldn't run that place without you. (But fired for a day or two always sounds a little tempting to me. - Maybe just a short leave of absence or sabatical.)
Fired. hehe. Now you can say to them, hey help out or be extra good so daddy doesnt fire me. hehe, it could work a time or two.
They do say the funniest things. =)
