♥ I thought this was pretty interesting...

I got this email today and thought it was pretty interesting!!!

--------------------♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ------------------------

This is interesting. Just compare the taxes.
www.taxfoundation.org/publications/show/151.html " href="http://www.taxfoundation.org/publications/show/151.html%3e" target=_blank>

Taxes under Clinton 1999 Taxes under Bush 2008
Single making 30K - tax $8,400 ◊ ◊ ◊ Single making 30K - tax $4,500
Single making 50K - tax $14,000 ◊ ◊ ◊ Single making 50K - tax $12,500
Single making 75K - tax $23,250 ◊ ◊ ◊ Single making 75K - tax $18,750

Married making 60K - tax $16,800 ◊ ◊ ◊ Married making 60K- tax $9,000
Married making 75K - tax $21,000 ◊ ◊ ◊ Married making 75K - tax $18,750
Married making 125K - tax $38,750 ◊ ◊ ◊ Married making 125K - tax $31,250

If you want to know just how effective the mainstream media is, it is amazing how many people that fall into the categories above think Bush is screwing them and Bill Clinton was the greatest President ever. If any democrat is elected, ALL of them say they will repeal the Bush tax cuts and a good portion of the people that fall into the categories above can't wait for it to happen. This is like the movie The Sting with Paul Newman; you scam somebody out of some money and they don't even know what happened.

I disagree with you and my family is living proof.

FermiLab had their budget cut by $52 million in order to pay for the War. This year Joe will be paid 1 month less. I'm not sure I know to many who would be able to work that into their budget with the raising price of food and gas.

Either you pay it in taxes or you pay for it in inflation.

I hope we get a Democrat for President us middle class people need a break.

Good for you for putting it in print. I am a little scared if either H or O are elected, although my first choice was not McC. I dont understand the entire D party that thinks Pres C was so great. or maybe the definition of great has changed. I have not purchase a dictionary in years........

I knew this to be true but now I am glad to have it on paper to prove it! I think too many people just believe what they hear not what they see. It will be too late when they figure it out!

I think a lot of people want programs and things to give out money. What they do not realize is that those programs cost your tax dollars. Wouldn't you rather have your money and "you" choose how to spend it not the government.

Melissa I agree the war has cost us and all Americans a lot of money. I am not for that!

♥ I think it's very tough for everyone. But would definately love to choose where my money went!!! There are a lot of programs out there that don't truely work and the government keep flushing our money down the tube on those... Also they choose to pay themselves a huge amount of money which is insane and really we could go on forever!

I truely believe that if the governemnt was making the same amount of money as the people that live in this country they'd FIND better ways to spend our hard earned money!!!

Remember there are Dems out there who KNOW and WANT to be taxed, thinking that redistribution of wealth is fair.
And if a Dem wins the presidency, the middle class will NOT get a break. Look at above list and think bigger under She-Clinton or Obama. Among many other taxes to fund there many social programs.
This economy needs a TRUE conservative!
Sorry....I'm done now.

Yea I don't know about you, but I am all for lower taxes...espesally since the government doesn't get their real money from us civilans. They get their good money from companies. Big companies are the real money makers...so I am all for lowering our taxes. We need the break.

There is no such thing as a hand out. When they say they will "help" you with this or that it should translate in your mind to tax dollars being spent. They are spending your money how they choose. Again I am far more interested in being responsible for my own money, my own debt etc...

I don't think anyone denies that taxes are lower under Bush. But economics aren't that simple. Does the current state of the economy (pending recession) have anything to do with the current taxation policy?
With the current budget policy?

I am a republican when it comes to taxes, but I can't call myself a republican when I look at the war in Iraq. At least with Clinton there was a balanced budget, and we weren't blowing Billions every month in Iraq.

Soooo true. If anything, i don't think the tax cuts were deep enough. Only that, coupled with torte reform and incentives for businesses to keep their jobs in the US will save us, I believe. Sadly, I do believe even John McCain says he will repeal the tax cuts. I'd feel much more safe with him leading us as commander-in-chief, but he is not very fiscally conservative at all. This may just well be the very first year I don't vote. So sad.

That was good for me to see. I was just complaining about all the taxes we have to pay. Now at least I know it could be worse!

I am scared to see what happens. I feel like we are in trouble no matter who gets put into office.

♥ I have to agree that I definately see out taxes goin WAY up also to fund all the crap that Hillary wants to do and the same with Obama! McCain scares me just about as much as the other too... Anyway I look at it I think we're in big trouble!

Thanks for everyones comments! I like to hear everyone's opions!

@sam

Clinton stripped the millitary down to it's bare bones! It is disgusting what he did. Yes, he may have saved money (relatively speaking) but he did this at the millitary's expense.

Oh wow! Thanks for the info! I am not a Clinton fan by ANY means! LOL
