My class went really well. We didn't have a ton of people. Which was really nice. I didn't feel overwhelmed or anything. Here's Shannon and her CUTE purse. I love the red stripes!
And then from today's class here's Gail and her cute green flowers!
We had a couple of other people that did them as well but they didn't get them finished so no picture! And a bonus I had Cathy help me lay out my quilt. It was so nice to have help figuring out where to put everything. So now I just have to put the sashings on and then I can post a picture!!! :)

I love the striped one. I want one like that! How fun!
They are really cute. I didn't even know about enrichment. I guess that's what happens when you miss a couple of sundays!
they are so cute. Must be easy since they finished them in one session. Great Job
Sounds like a hit! What a great success!
Awesome! Those looked so great! I dug out some cute fabric to try one :) It would be more fun to do it at your class though!

Have a good day - Kellan
Wish I could have taken your class. I can't sew paper!
So cute! Good job. I wish we did enrichment things like that. Although even with step by step, I don't think I could make that...
cute bags!!!
It is sometimes nice to have small groups, the stress factor disappears!
Those are really cute hand made purses! Glad your class went well :)
How cute! They look great!
Hey will you come to my enrichment and teach us? THose are super cute...
you are the best!
You probably don't remember me but I'm a friend of Jeanne's. I was wondering how you make those purses? They are so cute! I would love to make one.
oh, I wanted to go that activity, but I wasn't feeling good and I had just gotten back from Texas. That's neat that you taught that class. Do you think you'll offer it again?
Summer's sister here: Can I get the pattern number or the amount of fabric I need for the purse? Sum and I are going to make them next week when we meet up in WA, but she left for her rafting trip before I could get the info. Thanks - Wendy
Wendy, I'm not sure how to get this to you so hopefully this works. I don't have the pattern with me right now it's in storage but I got it at walmart and it's one of their easy sew ones that they usually keep just above the pattern books and stuff. Last time I was at walmart they were still there and I'm sure that it's the same at most of them. Hopefully you can find it. If not I think I gave Summer the info already too but I don't remember it's been so crazy with moving and stuff. If I need to I can go down and look at ours just let me know! :)
I found a pattern that looks like it might be the same one? It's a Simplicity "Sewing for Dummies" pattern (#7161). Does that sound familiar? Don't worry about looking for yours if you're not sure. I think I have an idea of how much yardage I will need. Such a cute purse!
It sounds about right! There was a red and blue purse on the front of it. One with the knot and then one with the bambo handle. We ended up using just under a 1/2 yard for the lining and then just under a 1/2 yard for the outside. We used interfacing if the fabric was thin and then extra on the bottom just since it has the most use there. good luck and you guys should post what you do! That would be fun to see! :)
Thank you!!
