We gave Eliza her shot and it went really well. She wasn't anticipating it ALL day so I think that helped her nerves. Joe took the shot (carrying it in my purse, which was quite the sight) to our room to mix it and get it ready. While he was doing that I had Eliza on my lap and we were just talking. When Joe came out she saw the shot right off and said, "I don't want my shot." But then I said, "It's okay, daddy will do it really quick." She just looked at Joe. I held her as she tried to squirm away but Joe gave her the shot and it was over. She didn't cry just whimpered a bit and as soon as it was done I said, "All done, Lizee. You were so GOOD. Tough as nails." and she said all excited, "YEAH, tough as nails, wag my tail." Not sure where she got the wag my tail part but okay... She was happy and didn't dwell on it and the rest of the evening was great! We might just keep giving it to her ourselves! Usually it's an all day process and even the drive there she KNOWS that's where we're going. So we're thinking the quick do it at home thing was really nice and we didn't have a major breakdown.

This is EXCELLENT news. I couldn't be more happy for you! xo Misty
Way to go, Dr. Parents. How come you could do it at home this time?
It sounds like a much better deal.
Yeah parents!
I knew you guys could do it. You could even get her a sticker book to put a sticker in each time she gets a shot. (tell her its for being brave) even if it goes south for afew minutes. Way to go. Good JOB. Tell Eliza your moms internet friend is proud of her (and her tail) hehe
Yay!! I would so choose to keep doing it that way...great for so many reasons!! Yay Lizee!
How nice that you got to try it that way! It does sound like it went way better. Just a moment of dread and pain, then back to normal. Way better than thinking about it all day.
Go Eliza! (and Mom and Dad, you're brave to do it.)
How nice! Way to go Liza! Much faster to do at home, and great that Joe can do it for her

Wow GREAT!! job!!! and Eliza how brave are you!!!
Yay!! Makes me feel sad for her that she has to deal with that. Great that she is starting to understand to just get it over with.
I am glad things went smoothly regarding the shot. What a little trooper you have there.
I love your new design. It's just in time for spring. Cute header picture too!
Oh, the little sweetie! I'm glad it went well!
Thanks so much for coming by. I hope you are having a good week so far. See you soon - Kellan
I'm so happy for you guys! This sounds like it's going to work so much better! I'm so glad that Joe can give it to her and that she's sit still long enough!
Yeah, this has got to be a load of, huh?
Good job Liza! And happy for you guys too. It's great when daddy's able to do it. ~Gail
Glad it went so well. I don't know if I could give ANYONE a shot especially my own kid. I would be the one not wanting to do the shot.
Love the new look! Fun Springy colors!
I moved. I would love it if you would follow me over to:

Shot day is hard on everyone--children and parents. Glad it turned out okay!
I'm glad she was a trooper. What a tough thing to do as a parent. btw: You have an award waiting for you over on my blog. ;)
glad to hear that is wasn't too bad.
glad to hear that is wasn't too bad.
YAY Lizee!! YAY Mom and Dad!! I'm glad that turned out better than expected.
Glad to hear it was easy, but I think I missed something. What is the shot for?
That is AWESOME!
I'm glad everything went well! I can barely stand needles so I can't say that I blame Eliza...
Sounds like Joe is way better than that old nurse last month. Your new layout is SO cute!
Wow! She did fabulous!! Sounds so much better then the other times. Anxiety is awful!!! Could you do this each month on your own? Sounds MUCH easier!!!!
YAY! Good job!
I would be terrified to give my child a shot. Good job to you too!
And on the next post--I love the princess hair and the brownies look SO yummy. May just have to make some.
