♥ Playing, Hair-do's & Recipes...

A couple of days ago the kids wanted to play outside but it was SO cold and still is! We have snow. Emma gave Liv her sweatshirt. Livvy came in crying and screaming that she was so cold. However wouldn't stay inside!
I made this desert and it was good. However very rich! The kids liked it too. I got this recipe HERE! I'm not sure what I did different than her but hers looks different. Mine was a light brown. Hers dark? Not sure why. I did add 3 Tablespoons of cocoa too because I didn't see anything that would make it a chocolate brownie... I also wonder if you could just use a brownie mix and that would be much faster and easier? Not sure just an idea. Also we didn't quite wait long enough and the cookie dough wasn't cold enough and I have to say that I like it REALLY cold!
I put Olivia's hair up in rags on Saturday night after her bath and they turned out much better than last time.
This was a cute little ringlet.
This is her with it down and it was a little to crazy for me...
So I put it up in a pony tail!
Being sassy! What's new though!
For dinner yesterday I made Sherelle's Bow Tie Pasta but changed some stuff out since I didn't have everything! IT WAS SOOOO YUMMY!!!! And it was nice to come home from church and have dinner all ready to go! I love walking into the house and having the smell of dinner hit ya!
You can click her link above and then here is what I did different. I didn't have any bacon so in place of the bacon I used left over ham from Easter dinner! Joe baked it with a brown sugar, curry and other stuff glaze! The ham gave it the best taste EVER! So good. Then I didn't have fresh mushrooms so I used cream of Mushroom soup instead of cream of chicken soup (2 cans rather than 1). I also didn't have swiss cheese so I used medium cheddar! It was so good. The kids loved it as did we! Thanks Sherelle! :)

Is Emma wearing shorts in that picture? CRAZY GIRL!! This weather is still too cold for me. I want pretty warm spring weather. But I guess if I want that I had better move to Arizona.

It is so stinking cold still! We actually got MORE snow today in Utah! But we are desperate too for outside. Enough to be out there without coats and warm gear too. So she is not alone in that desperation.

The rag curls are adorable! And the pasta looks good too. My boys are in need of haircuts right now, but I don't think their hair is quite long enough to do rag curls on--darn :)!

I love that I am not the only one who regularly changes recipes to fit what I have! I just laughed reading it because I do that all the time..."Oh my kids won't eat that so I will put this in instead." My mom is the queen of substitutions. I learned from the best!

I love her hair!! I think it's beautiful up or down. She looks so grown up.

I too love coming home from church to the smell of dinner cooking. I adjust recipes sometimes as well, glad it turned out sooo good. And that dessert, sounds YUMMY with cookie dough!
