♥ Articles of Faith & Toothpaste

Every night when we put the kids to bed we have them say a couple of the Articles of Faith. Joe has been taking Emma & Eliza to bed and I had been taking Lane & Olivia to bed. But we decided that we should probably start alternating things since Lane was freaking out if I was gone and wasn't the one that put him to bed. He even got to the point where he wouldn't even let Joe shut the door to his room it had to be me. It's been a couple of weeks now and he still doesn't like it but he's not quite as bad as he was. Anyway I don't have all 13 memorized but I do have several down so helping Lane & Olivia wasn't a big deal but when I take Emma & Eliza to bed I have to cheat and use a book. Emma has them ALL memorized and Eliza is well on her way. She does #13 so dang cute. It cracked me up listening to her for the first time. So I recorded her doing it for your viewing pleasure! Well I loved it anyways. :)

She doesn't have it COMPLETELY memorized but she's pretty close.

The 13th is: We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.

Some tooth paste crazed animals attached our bathroom this weekend. Okay so it was Lane, Eliza & Olivia! They decided to waste a good amount of toothpaste. Very irritating. So Joe (smart guy) had them brush their teeth with baking soda! BLECH! It worked pretty good so far. They didn't like it at all and gagged a couple of times but they haven't touched it again, "yet". We told them that if they wasted it again they'd have to brush their teeth with the baking soda again! :) I've personally never had to do it myself however growing up Joe would visit his cousins and that's what they used to brush their teeth. He still remembers the nasty taste that it leaves. Here are the pictures of their tooth paste painting... Someone gave Emma this clover dish and so she uses it for her soap! The twins & Liv obviously think it makes a great holder for toothpaste!

So does your husband have any ideas for boys who can't aim? Hence our new toilet seats. It's disgusting!

Teresa: We make Lane watch himself go the whole time so that he doesn't miss! Joe always makes him shake it too, so there is no drippage!!! :)

I heard the idea to post a scripture or AOF on the bathroom mirror a few years ago, but haven't done it for a while.

Thanks for the reminder :) I love the baking soda idea. My boys love to waste toothpaste too!!

I forgot to tell you on my last comment that all the crazies come out late a night in Wallmart.
About this post this is a regular occurrance at our house. Makes me crazy especially once it has dried on. You could use the stuff as mortar. the only thing that is worse is those pink tablets they give the kids at school. The ones that are used to check for good brushing. If they get spit onto the floor, you might a well get a marker and add leaves & a stem. Hoping that everyone will think it is a new trend.
Have fun.
