What is wrong with me. I decided I'm going to make dinner in the crock pot. Easy recipe only takes a couple of minutes to put together and then I don't have to worry about it for the rest of the day. So I open the cabinet to grab the pam and I notice that the flour bag has a hole in it so I open the drawer to grab a zip lock bag when I find the saran wrap out of the box and I had found the box earlier so I go grab the box put the saran back in it and close the drawer. Then I try to figure out what I was doing and look at the crock pot and remember that I was getting the pam and go to grab the pam when I see the flour bag again with the hole and remember that the whole reason to open the drawer was to get the zip lock bag so I grab the zippy bag and put the flour in it and go to put it back up in the cupboard when I see the pam again. Oh yeah the PAM! Good grief. I finish with the pam, put the chicken in the crock pot and have to figure out what to do with the extra chicken so I decide I'll boil it and put it away for dinner tomorrow or something. So I put it on the stove to cook and finish putting everything else in the crock pot. I'm just pouring the butter on top of everything when Olivia comes in and says she has marker on her finger. What? Where the heck did the marker come from and I go in the front room to find it and ask Lane & Eliza where the marker is. That's when I find this.

Yes Lane did admit to doing it which is good but OHHHHH I'm so tired of them coloring all over my walls. I thought I'd gotten every crayon & marker put away. I don't even know where they found this one. So I cleaned it up and sat down to check emails when I heard what sounded like boiling water. OH yeah I forgot about the chicken. Seriously, what the heck. I'm surprised I get ANYTHING done around here. Is it sad that my favorite part of the day is when nap time comes around?
On a GOOD note, last night I finished my quilt that I've had sitting around for 2 years. I've had it "done" but not put together. I really like the way it turned out. It's very busy but I love the memories. Like the blue sunflower fabric that I made a dress for Emma years ago that Olivia wears now and the red/brownish flower material that I also made a dress for Emma out of and Eliza wears right now. All the fabric is leftovers from projects that I've done or some of it is from scraps that my mom gave me.
Lane got these glasses at Halloween. So funny.

Oh mom, you are just so much more calm about the marker stuff, I would have blown a gasket.
Funny that your having a hard time remembering things. I was just telling my mom about wanting to put something on a list and forgetting. I finally remembered what I wanted to list when I was 20miles away from my list at the library.
I feel your pain!!
hahah I can so relate to the forgetfullness. It usually happens when I have too much going on and cant keep up.
oh! the marker! did it come off? I would have been so mad. don't feel guilty about nap time. Nap time is a good time for moms to have a mental nap..and not have to keep checking on kids or paying attention to what they do. I love nap times!
Oh boy......it happens so quickly.....I think I might have had a mini melt down. :)
I can no longer can get mad about markers, it's wasting my energy. I just let my boys do graffities around the house, just take it as an artwork (I'm cheering up my self...)....
You might need ginkgo billoba to help you concentrate... haha..
I love the background! ;) and your new header.
Artists with the wall marker medium! oh the joys of motherhood! :)
I feel this way all the time. Walk into a room and get totally side tracked with something else. Must be a mom thing, we have too much on our minds.
I love quilts that have good memories, my mom has a few of those with clothes she wore when she was younger.
