*****EDITED*****
It is Wednesday a full day and half later and the "spot" is still soaking wet and no matter how many towel's I put on it and step all over the mess, it still wet as can be!!! My jug of laundry soap was probably 1/3 of the way full and it was one of the biggest ones you can buy if that gives you any idea of how much soap has soaked into the floor & sub floor and who knows where else!!!
Laundry Soap. Yes Eliza got the container of Laundry Soap down and poured it all over. I'm thinking it's time to go back to powder!!! The picture was taken after I cleaned it up. That's how bad it was. There was a good 1/2 inch of soap oozing still when Lane came and tattled on Eliza to me. So Alisha I think you were the closest with bubbles. I think that would be just as bad to clean up and you can't get it wet or scrub at it because it just foams up. Emma did the same sort of thing when she was 3 with body soap. So much FUN!!! Or not so much. Thanks for playing along it was fun to hear your ideas. If it had been corn syrup, El would be no more!!! Okay so that's an over exaggeration but seriously I think that would be grounds for loosing it. :)

NOOOOOOOOOOOO.............
I SO feel for you, especially knowing that was left after you cleaned up some. At least it probably smells good? :)
It does smell really good. It's the Mountain Fresh stuff. I'm just glad it was the cheap stuff and not TIDE or something. I love tide but it's so spendy that I rarely ever get it. It still isn't dry yet too! Can you believe that? Hopefully by the morning it'll be dry but we'll see.
When I was about 12 I dropped a jar of honey on the floor. The glass cracked and broke. Not only did my mom have to clean up honey she also had to clean around the glass.
You know what they say about payback. One day at curch I dropped a jar of molasses. Jar broke and icky mess to clean up.
I can't imagine trying to clean something that foams up. What a serious drag.
I feel worse for your mom! Honey & Molasses! Yuck. Joe was making our syrup for a couple of years because it was cheaper and he liked to do it but we would put it in canning jars and one morning I went to grab it and put it away and it slipped out of my hands and syrup went everywhere BUT it was on the lynolium so not such a big deal. Lane & Eliza got into the syrup squeeze bottle when they were a year and a half. This was before we realized just how able & willing they were to get into EVERYTHING... Luckily again it was only on the linolium! They'll be the death of me yet, I tell you. I wonder how you'd ever get stuff like that out of carpet? I pray I'll never have to find out!!!!!!!! :)
"They'll be the death of me yet"
LOL! If I had a nickel for every time I said that about Hope I'd be rich!!
Laundry soap-Uhg!! I think that is worse than bubbles. Although I think the worst mess I ever had to clean up was a full tube of Desitin fingerpainted all over the dresser, comforters, window sills, carpet, dolls, walls, books, you get the idea!! As soon as I thought I had cleaned it all up I would find it somewhere else. Alisha
Oh yeah desitin would be a greasy mess. Wow! Was that done by the twins??? I've had little globs of desitin on Joe's chair and it's still stained I can't completely get it off. But it's not as noticebale anymore!
Yikes, I can't believe that it still hasn't dried up. Do you think taking a blow dryer to it would help? Maybe some heat would dry it up. At this point I would suspect it couldn't make things worse.
Maybe I'll try the blow dryer. I have my in-laws coming tomorrow so I'm trying to get everything else cleaned up and in order, and it seems like the minute I get one thing done the kids wreck it. It's driving me crazy. Maybe I need some signs that say DANGER ZONE and leave it at that. :)
LOL! I vote for the Danger Zone sign ;)
Love the new look. I'm so ready for the holidays. Your kids sure are adorable.
Yuck! What a mess! I hope you get it cleared up soon, the worst we have had on our carpet is powder but it still took forever to vacuum up......
Your on blog banner changing mission... Looks cute. Well off I go to help my baby.
Rachel
I wonder if using a carpet cleaner on it with just hot water would help suck up the residue. I hate to say this but soap will leave a spot, even when it finally dries! Alisha
oh..I was right..(I'm reading your blog from the bottom up ..i missed reading it from when I was in Washington) wow..what a pain to clean up.
