♥ Quilting...

I finished my second set of quilt squares. I got to crash Bridgets quilt class with Rachel and it's so much fun. I made a quilt a while ago and swore I wasn't going to do that EVER again. But the problem was I tried doing it without a pattern and I SUCK! I so need a pattern. I'm actually excited to break out the sewing machine and get to work. Even cutting isn't bad especially since I have the "right" tools now. I love Rachel's color combo and Bridget's Dick & Jane theme! So dang cute. I came into the class a week behind so I've trying to play catch up. Now I just need to do the log cabin block and I'll be all caught up. That is if I can figure it out! This is the first one "Cat in the Corner".
The second one is "True Lovers Knot".

Those quilts are so cute! I love when they're made outof contemporary fabrics like that. Are these for personal use, or are they going to the humanitarian center? I know our h.c. is REALLY hurting for quilts. We've got several old ladies in our ward making 2-3 a piece, and I could just kick myself for not learning. It's probably not too late for me, but for now--I've been "kicked out" of many-a quilt tying for messing it all up ;)!

I've done one quilt for the Humanitarian stuff. We have a lot of older women in our ward that do it. We did tie a quilt on Wednesday for one of our enrichment activities... Our ward is really good about having everything ready and they just hand us a bag of stuff and tell us to put it together. They haven't done it forever so I guess they're up to date?

Oh my heck, I need to learn to quilt, You are a freaking rockstar. My close friend Mandy made me a wuilt for Chirstmas last year and it is my favorite blanket, i use it all the time. She quilted in messages like, my name, my last name, Greg, taylor, Morgan, eternity, love, friend, family, you know stuff like that. I love it.

I LOVE the new layout! I must admit that I sometimes get the girls confussed - this is perfect for helping me keep everyone straight. And the quilts - great! Quilting is on my list of things I want to try when the kids get just a little bit older.

Wow, those are beautiful!! I totally admire anyone who has the talent and patience for quilting. My sister-in-law quilts and I've seen the amount of work it takes...makes me appreciate it even more! :) Great job!
