♥ Playing, hair-do's & dessert...

JUST A WARNING!!! YOU'LL PROBABLY SEE A BILLION TYPING ERROR'S... THE SPELL CHECK STILL ISN'T WORKING SO HERE'S A SORRY RIGHT UP FRONT!!!
Yesterday the kids were playing "baby". They like to play this all the time and Olivia is always the baby. They treat her like a baby and she ACTS like a baby.

I tried a new hair do that I got from Jenn's blog. She does such a great job. I tried it for church this morning. Olivia was being a stinker but I finally finished it having to take out a couple of parts and I should have used smaller hair bands but there was no way she was going to let me take it all out and start over! And I pulled it too tight...

The picture on the left is Olivia still and the right is Eliza. Doesn't she just look thrilled... I did Eliza's and used smaller hair bands.

She was way easier to work on. Plus I had a little better idea of what I was doing but it still didn't look as good as Jenn's. The girls liked it though. Olivia kept swishing her hair back and forth.

Joe's Aunt sent a package for the kids and this is a dress that she sent for Livvy. It's so dang cute and the little feathery stuff around the neck and cuffs are so cute. Although little tiny bits would come off during sacrament while I was holding her and made my nose itch something fierce! :)

Lastly I made Death by Chocolate Kelli gave me the recipe! We all liked it. I liked it while the brownies are still chewy and not soggy. So I would recommend making it the morning before you plan to eat it and then it makes a TON so make sure you have enough people to eat it all up! :)

Death by Chocolate III

INGREDIENTS*

1 (19.8 ounce) package brownie mix (I used a triple fudge chunk flavor)*
2 (3.9 ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix*
2 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed*
3 (1.5 ounce) bar chocolate candy (I used crushed up Heath Bar...yummy!)

DIRECTIONS

1. Prepare brownie mix according to package directions and cool completely. Let cool.
2. Mix pudding according to package directions.
3. In a glass punch bowl, layer the following in order: 1/2 of the brownies, crumbled; half of the pudding and one of the 8 ounce container of whipped topping. Repeat layers. Save the last toffee bar to crumble and sprinkle on top before serving.
4. Refrigerate. Best if made the day before you serve it.

WOW~ does that look yummy. I should eat breakfast before I break into the chocolate though, nah! The girls' hair looks really cute, that had to take you awhile! My 2nd daughter wanted a dress like that one, but it had a rip in it and was the only one in her size~ bummer.

First of all, I love the hair! My girls used to let me do that to their hair when they were little & didn't protest as much. Now, they are "old enough to do their own hair." It drives me nuts!
Anyhow, how funny we had that SAME desert last night after dinner!! My friend Aubrey brought it to a CHristmas party & my sister re-created it yesterday! So so so yummy!!! (except, instead of brownie we used a chocolate cake.)

So good!!

Sounds like you need some help eating that! He he he

I love your girls' hair - my sister does all kinds of cute hair styles like that in her daughters hair and I am always wondering how she does it, looks like I'm gonna have to learn too...

oh love the dress too - too cute

Did you use photoshop for all those photos? Eveything turned out fabulous! What are some websites you recommend for digital scrapbooks or playing with digital photos that will actually let you save the finished product as a jpg. Can you come to my blog and give me some lessons? Better yet, how about coming to my house for a tutorial? JK! Love your stuff!

Cute hair! I don't think my girls would sit for that one. And I love the trifle you made. I make something very similar, except I use chocolate cake instead of brownies. I've even experimented and come up with all sorts of ingredients layered together. Yours looks so good!

Hey,
By the way, what recipe did you end up choosing for your company?

Here I am trying to not eat after 7:00 ala Oprah, and I run across chocolate! Cruel trick :)!

Love the hairdos! I've always wanted girls just to do their hair--though they'd probably just end up in messy ponytails every day like I am :)!

Love the hairdos! And YUM on the recipe!

The girls hair looked so cute at church. We like your kids. I know they can drive you crazy sometimes, but they are sweet.

Ok.. ALL of you ladies who do beautiful creations with your girls hair AMAZES me. Mine are so freakin' fussy that I can barely get a barrette in their hair! And it is usually pulled out within 10 minutes!

That looks YUMMY! I have made the same recipe except using devils food cake crumbled into chunks. I will have to try this!
