♥ Kids...

Yesterday was a crazy baking day for me. I ran out of bread the day before so I made up 5 loaves and then a batch of rolls and some cinnamon rolls so I could use up the rest of that frosting from my last batch! So I did read blogs but didn't post anything. Not that I had anything really interesting to post. Lane is doing great not escaping for now! Knock on wood and we didn't lock it up yet! But that option is still on the table. I really want him to LEARN not to do this! I'm sick of having EVERYTHING locked up in my house. With 2 - 3 year olds and a 2 year old it seems like nothing is safe. So I'm trying to keep them out without locks. I no longer have the lock on the bathroom door either and that's been going okay although a couple of times a day I have to go in there and get kids out. This morning Olivia decided to dump all my Windex out. Emma left it in there... Usually I keep it LOCKED up under the sink. See EVERYTHING is locked up! :)
Livvy loves Emma's play jewelry so she was wearing it and very proud to be wearing it!

Lane dancing! He cracks me up...

I'm not sure why Livvy was freaking out but Joe was taking picture of the kids already and got these of her!

Lane still dancing!

Okay she's happy again and dancing!

And a little video! I love at the end when Lane says Oh, that's breakin' my hand!

This would be dinner! One of my favorites and the families favorites! Growing up my mom made this for us. Joe doesn't like broccoli so I make it with cauliflower and it's still really good but I like my broccoli. Broccoli makes a better presentation too, with the splash of green. If we have family over I'll make one of each! Yummy. We put it over pasta to make it go further however growing up we just had it as is. So either way is fabulous! ;)

Broccoli Chicken Casserole

MIX:

2 cups boned chicken cut in pieces (I just use chicken breasts)
2 bags broccoli frozen or fresh but to equal 2 boxes/bags (pre-cook until slightly tender, drain of moisture). I just added it in frozen last night and it worked great it wasn't mushy and it wasn't hard either!

Combine together:
2 cups cream/chicken soup undiluted
1 cup mayonnaise
3/4 cup cheese grated
3 full tablespoons lemon juice (I put in about 5 TBLP and it gives it a little more tang that we really like)
Add chicken & broccoli and stir until well coated. Put in 9x13 pan. Top with buttered bread cubed up. Heat uncovered till it starts to bubble. About 30 minutes until crumbs get a little crunchy. 350 degrees.

----------------------

Joe & I decided that he would just take Eliza to get her shot since he needed to go pick up his glasses anyway. Well Lane really wanted to leave the house and I told him I wasn't sure if Dad would want to take everyone but to go ask him. So Lane asked Joe through the bedroom door and Joe thought he was talking to Livvy so said sure. But what he didn't know was... Livvy & Lane were standing there asking and so he said yes to the both of them. So right now I'm home ALONE! This RARELY ever happens. When Joe left he said he wasn't sure how long he'd be so I of course said, Take your time! I got the look and Joe saying yeah I'll bet you want me to take my time! :)

Oh that's soo funny what happened with joe and the kids, I bet your just LOVIN the peace and quite!! Joe should know better now!! I know that happened a lot growin up with my mom and dad. Just reminded me of good day growing up.

Cute pics of your kids. They have just grown so much from when we would go walking together at the stake center - every time I see them I'm just amazed.

You amaze me with all the baking, I am so unmotivated to do anything in the kitchen right now.
Have a great weekend.

Cute pics! I've had a baking day today. I did Brown Sugar Muffins for breakfast, brownies for a snack this afternoon because I'm a sucker for my little boy when he asks and bread to go with dinner!

Ah--children! They really do test our abilities to contain EVERYTHING, don't they?! We have had Windex dumped before. Right on the brand new carpet--only 8 hours installed before they added a bright blue spot!

Hang in there. They do grow up one day, and then you can make them clean up all their own messes :)!!
