I opened Lane & Olivia's door so they could get out this morning and what did I see??? The window wide open AGAIN and Lane trying to crawl back in! He's going to be the death of me or the other way around! Not really but oh it drives me crazy! Tonight Joe will be putting a lock on the window! I'm DONE!!! 4 times escaping is all I can handle!
I went to Rite Aid today and got Edge Shaving Gel for .75 cents. I was excited and it had 20% bonus extra so that was just an extra little perk! Even at walmart for the trial size here is 1.49. And that's a 1/4 of the size. Rite Aid has it on sale for 1.50 each and then I had .75 coupons (that I've had for over a month and getting ready to expire, I'm so happy I was able to use them!). I also found flannel sheets on sale at walmart for 5 bucks. 3 piece set which will come in handy since I've been trying to get Lane & Eliza potty trained through the night and wow what a pain! Eliza has actually done GREAT! She did have a little accident today but she went all night and was booking it upstairs to the bathroom trying to make it. That's a long haul if you've really gotta go! Lane on the other hand is having a lot harder time. I have to get him up before I got to bed so he can go potty or he'll for sure have an accident. He's done really well the last couple of nights. However because I have to leave the door open (just in case he has to go) he wakes up his sisters. He wakes up SOOOO dang early it drives me crazy. He's up at 6 and sometimes 6:30. Too early for me that's for sure. So last night I just shut his door and figured he'd have to hold it and he DID! I was very surprised. BUT he escaped out the window again instead of being able to wake up the girls. Like I said the child is going to be the death of me! :)
While we were out I had to get Eliza's shot and she knew! As soon as we walked up to the counter to pick it up she starts whining, "I don't want a shot". I feel so bad but there's not much I can do. So I just say, "I know" and then change the subject. So on Friday we'll be making a trip to the Dr's and she knows the exact route that we take so maybe I should change it up and go a different way. I'm sure she'll still react the same way just maybe not as long!
Eliza was running and she smacked her toe on the door and it cracked her toe nail in half, starting in the middle and ripping it off towards the end of her toe. I'm not exactly sure how she managed it. But it took skin and all! Made me shudder having to clip it!
Well I guess that's all the news here... I need to finish folding clothes...

Wow sounds like you've already had a day today. I say screw the window screen frame to the house. No escaping there. And yikes aout liza's toe, poor thing.
I can't believe that! Climbing out the window! Ha ha...well at least he is getting the whole sneeking out of the house out of his system while he is young rather than a teenager :)
whoohoo on the bargains! that is always exciting.
and holy cow. they have window alarms too that you can put on the window, they make a loud annoying sound. and sick on the window and the wall or window sill. they have them in the baby section or by the register at walmart. and the little window locks work too. at walmart OR home depot or lowes.ask for window locks.
Wow, Lane is getting out the window? That is freaky, I hope it stops soon. Potty training sucks, morgan is doing so well, but at night I still put a pull up on her, I have stopped the water at night, but she still is very random about when she is going to pee in her sleep and not, errrrrr what a mess sometimes.
How far down does he have to drop once he makes it out the window? Get locks. one day he will be a teenager hehe. Bet you cant wait.
Sounds like your going to have to get some bars for Lane's windows ;)
Good job with the bargain shopping...and with the shot...why can't you give the shot to her?
Good bargains! And, yes, I'd say it's time for a lock on the window!!
It's not to far of a drop and he is a little monkey! I might have to check into the window locks or just have Joe screw a dowl in there. He did really good at nap time and didn't get out again but we'll see! I did threaten him big time too so maybe that helped. He didn't like his punishment this morning and that helped too I think.
Good idea on the bars! and screwing the screan on but he broke the screan while escaping the 2nd time.
And the shot... We could give it to her and Joe has done it before if we were out of town but I don't want her to associate the pain of the shot with us... Joe LOVES doing it too. Of course that's his job. He'd love it if I'd let him. :)
I LOVE deals like that! I get a total high from scoring awesome finds like that! Good job!!
I was also going to say I love the tunes! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Nickelback! woo hoo!
What a day!!! At least the bargains made it all a little better, right?! Great new glasses by the way!
Thanks so much for the well wishes. Knock on wood that this is really the last of the hospital I'll be seeing!
Yep, sounds like a time for a lock on that window - HA! I loved this, "4 times escaping is all I can handle!" and I had such funny visuals (while I know it's not funny) of the "escape"!
Have a good day - see you later. Kellan
Oh yeah, I relate...Dane would climb out of his bedroom window when he was like 3 years old. Would totally freak me out. I found him in my neighbor's backyard a couple of times. Now he enjoys drawing his interpretations of the devil. (sigh)
No post today? Did Lane fall out the window? I hope not. Hope all is good at your house. You deserve a good day. Catch ya later
What great bargains!
On another note, climbing out of the window is serious stuff. Two of my boys thought just opening the second story window was cool. I told them that if I as so much saw a handprint on the window they would get a spanking because opening the window could cause them harm if they fell out. I would much rather see them get a spanking rather then broken bones. Too bad, I din't think of a lock, but hey my way worked too. ;)
Hey - thanks for coming by today - I hope you have a good weekend - Kellan
I can't believe he keeps getting out the window! Hope the lock will help. Thankfully none of my boys have tried stuff like that...yet. Watch out when he's a teenager :)
What does your daughter take shots for? If it's okay to ask.
Oh my! Maybe you need to go Harry Potter on him and put bars on the windows! Good luck with the night potty training. Scott was easy and EmmaLece is just getting it!
