I went grocery shopping today at Albertsons and got some great deals... Everything on this table for 65 bucks!

8 -- boxes of GM Cereal
2 -- dozen eggs
9 -- Go-Gurts
2 -- 32oz bricks of cheese
2 -- 1 lb. butter
20 -- Yoplait Yogurts
3 -- Hunts tomato sauce
3 -- Chex Mix
9 -- Progresso Soup
1 -- Puffs Kleenex
8 -- Fruit Snacks
6 -- Betty Crocker Potatoes
4 -- Green Giant Veggies
1 -- Betty Crocker frosting
2 -- 5 lb bags of potatoes
2 -- lrg bags of kisses
1 -- bg of chocolate
2 -- Ben & Jerry Ice Creams (free)
I'm pretty excited of course I love a good deal. I had a coupon for everything and then Albersons had some double coupons in their add which is a new thing so I had two of those and you could use 3 per coupon so I ended up saving $6 bucks just from that! Total savings... 158.58... Which is great since we just found out that our portion of Eliza's shot is going to be around 600 bucks a month and that's before our 1000 dollar deductible! Plus the appointment that we had today. She had to see the Pediatric Endocrinologist that came from Denver, CO. He had us get a Bone Age scan which is just any x-ray for of her hand plus our portion of all that junk and he wants to do a blood test and tons of crud so I'm sure that's going to add up fast. You'd think working for a hospital you'd have better insurance!!!

The kids were pretty good all day although the Dr is old and he wasn't very patient with the kids AT ALL which really irritated me since the dude is a pediatrics doctor! Go figure. He also talked about how it would be so much easier to just have the hamartoma removed (BRAIN SURGERY) than to take the drugs for the next 8 years... They explained all this to us when we went to Doernbechers in Portland but all the side affects that could happen with brain surgery far out weighed taking the drug! Plus if we were going to do that we would have done it when we had insurance that covered 100%... I'm so ready to be done with it all... insurance, dr's and everything. I really need to just count my blessings. I know there are people out there with far more problems than us. It just gets old.

Hey, lets you and I do brain surgery on the old fart doc and see how he likes it and what he would suggest after his surgery! DORK
I am with ya!
Ok, your doctor is a jerk! Any chance to find someone else? I can totally see why you would hold of on surgery at this point...hang in there, I can only imagine how frustrating this must be for you.
Now onto the shopping. Awesome deal! I can't believe just by clipping coupons you can save that much money! Impressive.
I can't believe how big the kids have gotten since the last time I've been here!
It was good to see you around!
wow! way to go on that bargain shopping! AWESOME!
I think I must have missed the post about Eliza and what is wrong that she needs to see a dr...fill me in please.
Good job with the coupons! I love coupons!!!!
Good luck with Eliza's health!
Albertsons is having a freakishly good sale this week! Great job!
wow good deal on the goods!! I totally understand about the crappy insurance from working at the hospital, we thought "oh awesome David's working at a hospital we'll have great insurance" -- NOT! Hospitals suck to work for. (yeah I might be a little bitter too)
Great job shopping!
I can help you eat some of those Kisses, you have too many!! LOL
Stink about the medical stuff. You WOULD think you'd have great insurance by working for a hospital. Good grief!
Yay for good deals!! Glad you didn't forget the bag of chocolate.
Great job with the deals! I should have looked more carefully!
Hear you about the insurance stuff! You not only pay high premiums, you get to pay for most of the bill too!! A.
Awesome grocery deals! What a lot of work for you!
VERY impressed!
I know how you feel about health insurance! it's outrageous. I'm surprised you guys don't have it better with the hospital. Wow, what expensive shots!! ouch!
