♥ Activity Days...

Tuesday was Activity Day's with the girls and this week we learned about Covenants and remaining faithful to them. I copied off one of these for each of the girls so they can color it, then fill out each one and then play the game with their family for Family Home Evening.

Then we played a game... The girls all sat in a circle on the ground and there was one spoon for each girl taking one away to begin. I read the first situation and if it was a faithful action like: "I was walking to school and noticed that a girl dropped her books and I choose to help her pick them up even though I was in a hurry!" or "I saw that my little brother was sad but I was still mad at him for ripping my homework so I just walked away!" then they had to grab for the spoons and the person who didn't get the spoon was out. They played the game for 45 minutes straight and had a great time. We had a couple of dagger fingernails from all the excitement but other than that it went really well. The girls had some cupcakes and then in the 5 minutes that they were waiting for their parents to get them they got a little WILD!!! Running around playing and getting a little rowdy. We had one girl that was "arresting" another and she had the girls arms pinned behind her (they were laughing and having fun) but then the "arrested" girl threw her head back and hit the other girl in the mouth with her head so we had a little blood/fat lip and a tooth mark in a forehead! It's amazing how fast 6 girls can go crazy! I'm going to have figure out a way to fix that. Maybe just draw the activity out until the parents get there but I hate to keep the parents waiting... I don't know! All in all it went well and the parents were cool about the fat lip and the tooth mark in the forehead! :)

That is pretty crazy!! I guess I didn't realize girls can be rough too. So far the couple of activities we've had I've been cleaning up when the parents arrive and the girls usually run around the gym until we kick them out to walk home.

Thanks for sharing your ideas for A.D. I feel like my partner is domineering our ideas, but it's fun to see what others are doing.

Wow, your pretty darn crafty, huh? I don't know sometimes I think girls play much harder then boys do..what's up with that!

Yeesh Melissa, leave your personal problems at home and stop encouraging the Primary kids to be all violent.
