L got into my purse and pulled Eliza's rather large and imposing shot out. Eliza took the shot out and proceeded to open it. She even got the safety lid off. She bent the heck out of it as you can see and she poked herself in the process. She wiped her blood on my desk and ahhhhh. Luckily they didn't figure out how to get the plunger put in. Her shot has 2 parts. There is a liquid part and a powder part and it has to be mixed and completely dissolved before she can have the shot. Needless to say this really would have been bad, because the shot costs just a smidge under 2 thousand dollars... Oh yeah mucho bucko's!!!!!!!!! And we can't afford to pay for another one and she can't really go without it.
ANYWAY as if that's not enough then Joe got home from school for a lunch break and went downstairs to get something out of the food storage and came back telling me that the kids had gotten into all the tapes and film strips and had them scattered everywhere. They ruined a bunch of them. I think I saved maybe 13 out of an original 24. Not that we really use cassette tapes anymore but I really wanted to copy them onto a CD... And film strips, well we don't even own a projector but whatever. The point is that they're driving me crazy!!! I'm sick of the destroying everything in this house. I mean seriously I've locked up almost everything in the house already, that has door's on it. Even the fridge gets locked. If I could have they would have been in BED. However I have the ever present monthly visit to the doctors so that Eliza can get her shot. They will be going straight to bed though just as soon as we get back and hopefully they'll sleep for a good 3 or 4 hours. I can hope at least.
Well that's my crappy day and it's not even 1/2 over. :) I hope yours is MUCH better...

Oh, NO! I am seriously so sorry your day has been so.......well, just one of those days you want to pull the covers over your head and never get up.
I was not at all prepared for the chaos and destruction that twins bring. It's really been a shock because my singletons were not like this at all. And, they do the same naughty things over and over again.
If you don't mind me asking, what kind of shot does Eliza need? I would have been SICK if I found a near miss like that one.
Sending you a cheerly smile, and wishes for the rest of the day to be much, much better.
Oh what a day! You gotta have a bad one to have a good one right? How scary about the shots. Just think, when they're old enough to go to school, you'll have the house to yourself. Hope your day ends better than it started!
Thanks! I wasn't prepared either. I had a lady in my ward that had twins 20 years before and said that she didn't wish twins on her worst enemy. At the time I did get it. But NOW I do fully and to every extent!
The shot is Lupron Depot. Mostly it's used for men that have prostate cancer so I thought it was crazy that they had her taking it... It all about the hormones for her and this medication has it and it works thank heavens. Just a bit pricy. Okay, A LOT pricey! :)
Holy Cow! What a day! and yes twins are quite a learning experience... So've I've been learning! Here's to a better evening.
Wow, that is a lousy day. Though I have to say, I'm getting scared. We share a name, a husbands name and someone in each of our households takes shots...are you hearing the Twilight Zone music yet.
I'm glad your little ones didn't manage to get further into the shot before they gave up.
This is the kind of day that has me mumbling SERENITY NOW!!! all day long!!
mk ;)
Hope the rest of your day went better & you got to veg out and do something you wanted to do this evening...
