This is our garden! We have CRAPPY soil, actually you can't even call it soil it's sand, nasty clayish sand and it's terrible. Coming from Oregon and having fantastically rich soil it kind of sucks but we decided to do a square foot garden. We have tomatoes (cherry, Roma & medium), bell peppers, jalapenos mild and hot (for Joe not ME), cucumbers, peas, lettuce, pumpkins and one little square for watermelon. We'll see if the watermelon actually works. We never could get it to work in Oregon.

Now this is my kind of garden! ;)
We have to do it that way here too. Hope your watermelon works!
that's totally awsome!
Good Luck
We are doing SFG here too...I'm really hoping it works, I've never done it this way before.
hope it grows good for you! Our radishes are starting to grow.
It's cute! Happy growing! Hoping to get the weeds out of our garden area soon.........
I love square foot gardening! I haven't done much with it yet this year -- I guess I need to get out there this week! Weeds, I HATE weeds. A.
It is my dream someday to have a square foot garden. What did you line the bed with? Did you build the box yourself? I think I'll do some container gardening this year- that way it's ALL MINE (and the people I have to live with won't get confused-- sometimes personal property gets confusing when you live with the community that I do!)
Since our yards our small, our neighbors are doing that too. I didn't go to the Elders quorum class...since we are hoping to move. But it does look fun. I'll ask my MIL when we are ready.
send me some when it's cropping time :D
