♥ Meeting friends & TOFW

Friday at Time Out for Women I got to meet a blog friend! Carrie and I have been reading each others blogs since September 2007. Carrie has boy/girl twins that are just a couple of months younger than mine. It was so fun meeting her in person after over 1-1/2 years of corresponding through email and blogging!

We both agreed that it was a little awkward at first but that dissipated quickly. I also got to meet her adorable daughter Shantel who by the way too our picture for us...

Time Out was fantastic Hillary Weeks was there and she is so clever and funny. I loved all her stories and of course her singing was wonderful. We also got to hear Chris Stewart speak. I love his "The Great and the Terrible" Series... We also got to hear Jenny Oaks Baker play the violin and she is fabulous! Oh man she can play. She went to Julliard and played in the Symphony as well. She is Elder Oaks youngest daughter. We also got to listen to Kristen Oaks which is Elder Oaks wife. DeAnne Flynn was there and she is a very funny woman as well. Kris Belcher was a crack up. She said that when she got engaged to her husband her brother used to call and leave messages on her machine of himself belching... She was so dang funny and with the trials she's been through it's amazing how she could even have a sense of humor after it all! Kim Nelson was also a speaker and he was very amazing. He was a funny man. He said he wanted us to feel comfortable so he pulls out a huge crocheted doilee. Then he said oh that's just not cutting it so he pulls out a thing of glass grapes I didn't get the joke but evidently it was a huge thing in relief society before my time all the older women where cracking up. Anyway it was a great time lots of laughs and then also some tears... If you've never gone... GO!!! It's so worth it!!! This was my 6th time going and when they come back again in 2 years I'll be going again!
