♡ We're getting there...

slowly but surely. There are just so many small things that need done it's driving me crazy! I finished cleaning out above the washer and dryer before Joe's dad got here. We just have a couple of things that we've needed to use while fixing stuff up.

The guys organized the unfinished part. We just have some food storage left down there and then some stuff that needs to go to DI. They moved the shelves in there which looks nice and adds a ton of storage room. This is what it looked like as I was cleaning it out and it actually looked WAY worse even before this picture. This is BEFORE...

This is after... The guys also worked on a couple of beams down there shoring them up for extra support. That took a good 1/2 a days work.

Here's my finished closet. Painted and all ready to go. Except those last little things that need packing. This is before the painting... Joe also fixed the shelves for me. They were really bowed as you can tell.

after...

This is Emma's bathroom TOTALLY done okay it's never totally done. We still need to do the caulking which shouldn't take too long and then I need to scrub the floors.

Larry and I painted the cabinets in the kitchen. They used to be wood but they weren't finished and looked tacky because they didn't match the other cabinets on the other side.

This is what the cabinets looked like before!
These are the cabinets on the other side of the kitchen. TOTALLY different. We also lacquered up these to make them nice and shiny. Larry scrubbed and sanded then while I lacquered them up! (This pix is before we lacquered them)
This is Emma and Eliza's room. TOTALLY painting from top to bottom! This is their room before!
Their room after!!!
Joe and his dad worked on fixing the basement stairs wall. Now I just need to paint it and vacuum up all the mess!
Joe and his dad took all the doors off and painted them. This is how the front door looked before. Minus the flag and probably with more crayon marks then this picture.
This is after. Oh and I painted all the molding EVERYWHERE last night and finished up some today as well. I'M SOOOO SICK OF PAINTING!!!!!!!
This is the down stairs wall. This door is NEW thanks Larry. It leads into the unfinished part. Scroll back up to the top and look at the old crappy door that was on there before. It didn't even reach the top of the hall.
Joe and his dad putting up the back door.

There are still so many little things to be done. But the big major things are done. Like the down spout, basement wall, PAINTING, oh and Joe and his dad replaced the barrings on both sides of the boat trailer so that we can tow it to Montana on Monday. That took a good day to do. We still need to pressure wash the outside of the house and tomorrow I pick up the uhaul so we can load the big appliances in the house like the fridge, washer & dryer and freezer and the kids mattresses. It's been CRAZY hectic and busy trying to get everything done! AND WE'RE STILL NOT DONE. More pictures to come. However it's probably not going to happen until next week. Tomorrow is going to be crazy and then on Saturday Joe take the computer with him and I have nothing. What shall I do with the lack of computer access??? I'll definitely be taking pictures when we're all finished too. I'm so excited with how everything is looking. I can't wait to be finished!!!

Until NEXT week!!! :)

Mercy! I can't believe all the painting that you have done. I HATE painting. The kitchen looks so different with the white paint, it looks nice. Sounds like your checking alot of stuff off of the list. Thanks goodness for father in laws! He's a good one that's for sure.

Oh it looks FABULOUS!!! But isn't it sad that the house gets the work it needs when you are LEAVING??? We did SO much to our FL home including re-facing the fireplace. It looked so great I did not want to leave!

One tip I got from the interior decorator that came to help us set the house up for sale. Change cabinet and drawer pulls. Even if it the cheap .50 ones. It makes your cabinets look TOTALLY updated and fresh. And gives the kitchen and bathrooms and new look.

Okay- I lied... I had to come check things out tonight. It is looking so good. I am headed over to my place to paint for a few hours tomorrow after I stain my parents play house they have built for the G-kids! So I will be joining you by the end of tomorrow with a hate for painting in general as well! But it looks great!

Hide the crayons!!!
