Yesterday we took a day to just be together as a family. We went to Wallowa Lake. We've never been there well I think Joe has been there but not myself or the kids. It was beautiful and the mountains were green and speckled with flowers. Everything was great even the weather was pleasant and not to cold or too hot. The only down fall would be that it's a little to touristy. Just look at these pictures! It's beautiful!
The is Minum Canyon. The kids were freaking me out though getting to close to the edge. You see where their feet are? The edge is less than a foot away from their feet and Lane bent over to pick up some gravel and got WAY to close for my comfort. I could just see him slipping on the gravel and plunging down the steep canyon. I'm was glad to be back in the car! I forgot my camera so these were taken with Joe's phone. They aren't the best but I'm glad to have some pictures!
This is a huge tree that looks like it's been sitting there for a long time. There are several rivers on the way to the lake and then places where they combine. The water level is really HIGH right now so the river was running really quick!
The kids had a blast playing in the water.

Liv showing Joe her sandy hands...
The kids had fun throwing pieces of wood into the water.
We had a great time. We left at about 11 am or so and took our time getting there, stopping at a couple of places on the way. We didn't get home until 7 pm. Eliza was the only one to sleep on the way home. Okay and maybe I got to close my eyes a bit too. :)
