♡ The YARD SALE...

So I had my yard sale on Saturday and it was scorching hot for here! Seriously thought I was going to DIE! I drank a ton of water and was totally parched the whole day! I woke up at 6 o'clock and couldn't fall back asleep so I just got up and started pulling crap out into the front yard. I borrowed 4 of the long tables from church, that was a task in and of it self. They are the OLD tables that weigh like 50 lbs each they're INSANE... Anyway one table was full of girls clothes and one of boys clothes. I actually had more boys clothes than girls how does that happen when I only have 1 boy and 3 girls??? Well I also had a table with dresses on it plus some hanging up and one table with shoes and some Mary Kay stuff that I USED to sell. The Mary Kay when FAST!!! Seriously I don't have much left which is nice and I think 1/3 of the cash that I brought in was from Mary Kay. I hadn't even thought about putting that stuff out until midnight the night before. I'm so glad I did... 1 less box to have to pack later. I still have a bunch of clothes left and keep thinking maybe I should do one more yard sale once I've gone through everything in the house and this time advertise it... But I'm not sure how committed I want to be to that idea! It was nice though because Joe watched all the kids and it was just me and sometimes Emma out front all day... I got a ton of reading done in between and it was a rather peaceful day minus the hot weather, setting up and taking down. Here is evidence of my LONG HOT DAY!!! I even put sunscreen on TWICE!!! But I didn't think about it until after a good hour of the hot crap...

This is the worst part and it right where the kids are always putting their arms when I'm holding them. It's starting to blister and hurts like heck! Next time well if there is a next time I will be lathering up on the sunscreen before I even step OUTSIDE!

OUCH!!! that looks painful! Yeah for selling some stuff! :) You probably had more boys clothes cause there isn't anyone to pass along to and wear out! I'm so excited that you have a place and a plan! And yeah it's Montana! :)

I am so behind!

(1) Yeah for Montana and a new job for your hubby!

(2) Yeah for your successful garage sale! I really want to have one . . . I suspect once we make a decision about having another baby.

(3) Ouch! I hope your sunburn fades quickly!

hah! I used to sell Mary Kay too! We should be sisters! (But after checking out Gayle's blog, it looks like you've got plenty! Fun!)

Bummer about the sunburn. But great that you got rid of some stuff and made a little extra cash!

Hope your sunburn gets better. You didn't look that red at church. Maybe it was the shirt you were wearing. Looking at the pictures makes me hurt.

Yay!! A successful yard sale is fantastic!! I am SO feeling you on the sunburn. With my fair skin, I've ALWAYS burned within five minutes of being outside. There are some serious burns going on in this house right now, too!

Ouch! I hope your sunburn gets better soon! Good job on the yard sale, I need to do one myself, but I keep putting it off. I better do it soon, before it gets too hot.
Good luck on your move to Montana!

I just kept looking at the sun burn and saying ouch, ouch, ouch. I am so sorry. You sound like it went well though. You would think that at our age we know better to wear sun screen. Last summer I got sun burned really bad. I had to take benadryl to ease the itching and pain.
