Today has been oh so wonderful! Lane & Olivia were up pretty early. When I finally registered hearing their little voices I remembered I needed to get up quick and make sure that Livvy went potty. So I ran into their bedroom and there she was pulling her britches on. She was very excited. "Mommy, I went potty and didn't pee the bed!" Happy DAY!!! Promptly after that she asked for her treat! There's nothing like chocolate chips at 6:30 in the morning but whatever as long as she's going in the potty I'm happy! I did get her up at midnight before I went to bed just to make sure she didn't pee the bed. She was so OUT of it. With Lane he'd just stand there and pee with his eyes closed and then I'd carry him to bed and he'd be out by the time I layed him down. However Olivia sat there for a good 5 minutes before she finally realized that she needed to go. It was pretty funny. Half awake and not sure what the heck was going on! I took Emma to school and when I walked back in the house Lane & Eliza were eating pizza for breakfast. Before I left I had gotten them all a bowl of cereal and they were eating that but I made the mistake of not locking the fridge like I usually do. Fine whatever but then after breakfast they started getting whiny, cranky, fighting, HITTING (which drives me crazy) and just being mean! Lane was the worst whiny boy and Eliza was the hitting monster today. So Liza made out with 2 corner time outs and Lane got a 45 minute time out in his room for yelling, screaming and whining at me non stop! I was defiantly ready to pull my hair out. I had to take him to his room 4 times before he finally stayed. That's why it ended up being 45 minutes instead of shorter and I wasn't even here to enjoy the peace and quiet because I left to work out. Luckily the gym was pretty dead when I got there. Just a couple of STICKS on the elliptical's. My main train of thought was I could totally give that girl 20 pounds and she'd look better and I'd look better! There were 3 girls there so that's 60 lbs. I could totally dig that! Oh well! :)
Got home and Lane was good and quiet and being nice so I let him rejoin us and then they started getting crazy again and Eliza decided to color all over my door. So she was on crayon clean up. Lane & Olivia decided to help her clean it up. Then Joe made them lunch and now I'm on my way to take Lane to bed. Hoping that they'll actually fall asleep.

I came back in the kitchen from a 5 minute blowdry to find marker ALL over the floor! Thank goodness, it was a white board marker, not the Sharpie that was right next to it. Wiped right off the floor, but not off the body parts.
You know.... it's rough being a Mom some days..... The fighting is what does my head in....
T.G.I.F.... right??
We are having a similar day here. The whining kills me.
Everytime I see a new post (headline) it kills me, I am so afraid (for you) to read what they did. But the headline is always worse (in my mind) than what they did. You scare me sometimes. hehe Hope you have a nice afternoon
I can't stand that whinning. And sometimes my two yesr old wont stop talking and it drives me crazy so i will ask her to not talk for a min and she is good to be quiet and then all of a sudden, she is back to talking non stop...UGH
oh boy. what a day. That's so funny about the sticks on the eliptical. Sounded like a win win situation.
I like the new header and background colors. when ever I figure out photoshop, then I'll give my blog a change. but right now, I don't think I can do a better job than what Rachael did for me, so I'm stickin' with that.
Kids are always playful. As long they are happy, you will feel great also.
Have a nice day.
You really do not have dull moments do you?! That is what keeps life interesting....My boys are very hard sometimes too but I keep thinking how fast time goes by and what will I do when they are gone.
No good Friday, hope your weekend is going better. I am laughing at the thought of you fatting those girls up at the gym :)
we always say we don't like the kids whinning. but can you imagine a day without it? we'll miss it!
I can't believe I haven't though of it before...you are a genious taking your kids to the bathroom before you go to bed! I'm trying it tonight and maybe my 5 yo will be dry in the AM too! Thanks for your post...I'm a dork, what can I say?!
Sometimes I swear we are the same person. We also live in about the same house. I laughed about the 3 sticks. I see people all the time that I think. "She needs to eat. I could show her how it's done."
Are you serious? hee hee
What a way to start your day. Great job getting to the gym. I seem to find any excuse I can.
Hope your second half was better. And congrats on the dry bed. Yippie!! Ü
That sounds like quite the morning! Glad that you got to escape for awhile!
Don't you just love days like this??? Maybe it's a full moon...
Hey! If those sticks are looking for a few more pounds....I have a couple I could share too. ;)
