SHOPPING

I try to get my months worth of grocery shopping done within the first week of the month and this time the checker was looking at all the "stuff" that I was purchasing (It was a lot, I was out of everything especially with all the holiday baking) and she looked up at me and asked, "Do you own a business?" I looked at her and said, "No, I just have a lot of kids." Then she asked how many and if they were all boys. So I had to explain that it was the once a month shopping trip and not all boys but 4 kids... SERIOUSLY Do I own a business... This was definitely a first!

Ouch! I'm not sure I could lug home a months worth of groceries at one time, I can just imagine how much you must have had for 6 people.

You should have told her, "yea, I have a business, it's the business of being a mom. The hardest job you'll never get paid for."

Well unless hugs and kisses count, if so, then I'm the richest mom in the world.

I shop for 2 weeks and usually end up with 2 carts because it is at SuperTarget so it is EVERYTHING including diapers. I always get looks so I bought a shirt that says Proud Mom of Many with 5 kids on it! LOL

So funny! Sometimes I think cashiers talk too much. Mind your own business I don't like my purchases being talked about. I am dying... your blog is looking fab! I am in love with red toile so when I saw this I was so jealous. I am swamped but want to work on mine again soon. I had to take the christmas down because it was making nuts to see it after JAN 1. I messed it all up and lost everything on the sides though :( thats what I get for being so anxious.

I called Joe when I was leaving the store and told him I'd be home in 5 minutes and to be ready and have Emma ready so they could help me unload them. Joe takes like 20 bags at a time so it wasn't too bad for me. I hate it when I go late at night and have to bring stuff in all by myself. That sucks. The worst part is putting all the groceries away.

I noticed your blog Laura it looks good. I'm ready when you are. So just hollar. And I totally agree. I mean seriously like I want to hear it. At least I didn't have ALL the kids with me so I didn't get the "do you run a day care?" question.

Maybe I need a t-shirt like you Debra. Although I don't think mine would sound so nice... Just like I want a t-shirt that says, "QUIT STARING - I look like this because I had 3 kids in 13 months"...

I'm so impressed that you had it together in order to shop for a month. Seriously impressed. Love the new look of your blog.

You never know what questions a checker will ask! I have 4 kids too. Up blog-hopping due to insomnia!

Don't be impressed... I probably forgot a bunch of stuff plus I'll still have to shop for things like milk & produce throughout the month... Grocery shopping is not fun for me. :)
