Joe was telling me a story from when he was ranching in Montana and every Fall they would "cut" the bull calves to make them Steers. Well after they'd cut them they'd have a FEAST and cook would fix up a bunch of rocky mountain oysters. There were a bunch of kids there putting up loose hay stacks for the summer. Every one headed over to the cook house for supper. One teenager 15 or 16, was chowing down on the best chicken nuggets she'd ever had when the Owner of the place came over and sat down and said, "Hey pass me some of those nuts." And the girl says, "What?". Boss says, "Pass me some of those Oysters please." The girl has this puzzled look on her face, "what?" and boss says, "Yeah pass some of those calf nuts to me please." Her face turned green, she covered her mouth gagging and ran out of the room.
After the story Emma looked at Joe and said, "Did you ever eat nuts?" Joe and I bust out laughing and then had to have a talk about how it's not the best word to use to describe this and then had to tell her what "nuts" were... Luckily she didn't want any big explanations... But she did tell Joe that it was disgusting that he ate those. I'm on her side. No way, No how, will I ever try one... BLECH!!!
