President Hinckley...

2 hours ago President Hinckley passed away! All I can say is he was such a wonderful and sweet man! As sad and disappointing as this is I'm so glad that he is now with his wonderful wife and no longer in any pain! He will always have a place in my heart...
For those that don't know... Gordon B. Hinckley is the prophet of our church and was 97 years old and a wonderful example of Love, Kindness, a sense of humor and many other admirable qualities!

He lived a long life - didn't he. Such a distinquished looking man and he lived a good life. This was a nice tribute to an impressive man. Kellan

I am going to miss him SO much. I joined the church when Pres Benson was prophet. It seems like Pres Hinckley has been the "front" man for the last 16 yrs because Pres Benson and Hunter was so sick. I am sad. But SO happy he is with his wife. I know losing her was SO hard on him.

How to tell the kids. They LOVE this man of God. They ALWAYS talk about him.

Who is next in line? Isn't it Thomas S. Monson?

I know Emma is going to be so sad! My kids pray for him everynight too.

As far as I know yes it President Monson. But they aren't making the official announcement until after the funeral!

Thanks for your post. I jumped on the computer as soon as I heard the news and I had to write something, not sure it makes sense but I had to write. yes, I am certain Monson is the next Prophet, what a good man he is as well.

Kind of hard to think of anything else except the life he lived.

I have read a lot of tributes to the prophet today. Nearly all the ladies on the 52 blessing project {-you can find all their blogs through gardenview on my side bar}. He was truly a wonderful, remarkable man and prophet of God.

I've seen alot of tributes to the prophet too. It seems like a lot of bloggers are also in the relief society. I wonder what the percentage of bloggers are mormon compared to non-mormoms. (woops, I'm not supposed to use that word am I. I don't know what else to call them besides, "non members or non-mormon"
