Chrismas Baking Has Begun!

Since the house was pretty well picked up I brought the ego's out or rather Lego's. The kids don't get to play with them all the time so it's a big treat and they did pretty good. Not to much fighting over them but I did have to separate them all out so they had they own little pile otherwise it's just BAD! I finally got all the laundry put away no more baskets in the front room. Putting laundry away and taking it out of the dryer is the worst part for me! So it's a good day when the baskets are empty!
See no more baskets yay! This is a clean house for me. Yeah there are a couple of toys on the ground but those are dominoes and are treated like the Lego's. They go right back in their container and in my room for safe keeping until they get the great and awesome privilege to play with the again. Lately it has been their incentive to take naps. I figure if there are a couple of toys that's okay and as long as the floor is vacuumed and picked up I'm happy but when it's toy city in my front room I go crazy. So no it's not perfectly picked up but it's as picked up as it'll ever get with 3 little monkey's jumping and causing total chaos in the house.
Notice Livvy's pale pink lips! Emma was applying generous amounts of lip gloss on the girls. I didn't get a picture of Eliza's but they were about the same. The girls thought it was fun having prewty lips.
We started our holiday cooking. We made sugar cookies. Rachel's recipe!!! And you are absolutely right they're the best that I've tasted. I usually opt out on the sugar cookie department because they're usually brick hard and dry as saw dust. These were so yummy that I even ate one with out frosting and it was still yummy! :) Thanks Rachel. I tried to make red but I used 1/2 of a brand new tube of food coloring before I gave up. Oh well. The kids had a blast helping to cut out the shapes. I'd roll them out and they'd cut the dough. It was a bit crazy and lots of fighting as to who got to go next but I think they had fun. After dinner I had them frost their very own cookie and put sprinkles on it and then they got to eat it. I didn't think to get pictures until after they'd eaten them. Each child got one scoop of frosting and Eliza put hers on her cookie then licked the knife, then spread a little more or rather just pulled the frosting from the cookie onto her knife and licked again. It was pretty funny. I'm glad we opted to just let them frost their very own. I'm sure I couldn't have kept her from licking that knife and who wants a cookie like that. No double dipping in this house! YUCK! :)
I had a broken legged gingerbread man and it reminded me of Shrek so I had to add a video of one of my favorite parts of Shrek. As bad as it is I love the part when Gingy says "Eat Me". :)

I SO have the same problem with laundry . . . I can wash it, dry it, and fold it, but actually getting it put away is the bane of my existence! Glad to know I am not the only one.

I like how you do Lego's, and may have to implement the same policy - my kids love them, but don't pick them up, and I am tired of stepping on them all the time. Right now I keep Mr. Potato Head in my closet for extra special times - he is probably lonely and could use the company!

Enjoy your blog and plan on coming back often! Thank you for stopping by my little space as well.
