When Grandma came she brought a fun surprise for Olivia. Livvy LOVES babies. I know I've said before how much she loves them with at least 5 or 6 around at all times. We just needed to give the doll a face and some hair. So when Judy and I went out for our day of funness (not a word, I know) she bought an iron on face and some yard. I've never done doll hair before so this is as good as it gets for a first try! The face turned out great. We had to iron on a second pair of eye brows because the first ones didn't take very well but other than that it went really great. The hair took a little more effort and took a while to get done but all in all Livvy loves it and thinks it's great that she has long hair just like her.

Eliza really likes the doll also. Or maybe it's just the idea of getting a picture taken that she likes better! :) Eliza loves them and moves on pretty quickly.

Sunday morning Olivia brought this to us. She had Emma draw Grandpa Larry's face/head and then Olivia drew the body. This is before she colored it in.

This is after the coloring!

Lane drew this for Great Grandma. Now I just need to mail it off. Too bad Great Grandma doesn't have email.

On Saturday we had a last little get together with Joe's brothers family before Judy had to fly home. The kids were all playing outside. It was so beautiful. Justin was trying to give Lane a piggy back ride and Lane fell off. (Lane isn't to great with the whole balance thing.) They were on the gravel road and when he fell a rock punctured his head. It bled really good like most head wounds do and so we weren't worries about anything being inside the wound but it bled pretty good. We didn't take him in or anything and he was doing great. He started a new thing though. He was blubbering literally blubbering. He'd go, "blublublublublublubbbbb, it hurts, blublublublublublubbbbbb, it hurts...." Then that night after we got back from a dinner at the church Lane was supposed to be getting into bed and instead was in the girls room. So while I was putting the girls to bed I told him to get in his bed. He turned around to leave the room and smacked his head on the moulding of the door. He starts doing the "blublublublublubbbb" thing again. Poor kid it started bleeding again. That child and his head woulds like here and here... The big ones are always the head for him! It's not a great picture this is how it looks today. It's healing great. He also had a bunch of little punctures around the big one from smaller rocks...

And on too my kitchen... I finally got my ivy up on the cabinets. I've been wanting to put them up for 9 years but haven't had a house that it would work with. I had it up in a rental that I had before Joe and I got married and now finally was able to put it up again.

My sister just posted her kitchen and I'm wishing I'd have done something cute and cleaver like here! I stole your pictures Gayle but I didn't think you'd mind! :)
This is what my dining room looks like now. I plan on moving my paintings to the other wall as soon as I can find some frames for them but for now they get to stay where they're at and at least I know they can't be harmed up there!

A picture of my new hair cut. The gray is REALLY noticeable now. I have more gray than my mom and mother-in-law put together how sad is that! This picture doesn't even show the "real" amount of it either. Luckily I have a little bit of brown hair left and I use the word little very loosely!

Cute pictures. I like your hair and the one of your girls and the doll is adorable. How fun to make a doll with your mother-in-law. I didn't even know you could get iron on faces.
It's a good thing you only have one boy. Lane has had more injuries than my four put together (knock on wood)
Love you hair...and the painting in your sisters kitchen!! That really is awesome!
I love your hair! It really fits you!
Love the hair cut!! Sounds like you had a great visit with Judy and have been very busy. Micah said that Lane's head didn't look that bad and that he's had worse! (He hasn't I think its a boy (man) thing! :o) Have a great week - A.
Super cute hair cut! You guys have been busy. Love the dolls. Great idea! Have a great rest of the week!
I really like your hair cut! I like the ivy in your kitchen. it's not too late you can still add something else to your kitchen ... that is the nice thing about paint.

I've been wanting caabinets with a plant shelf above them forrrrrreeeeevvvverr. (And Gayle's paint is really cute too!) Did you paint the pictures?
That is a cute pic of you, and I live the doll's face.

Poor Lane and all his injuries.
I really like your hair cut. I tried to get one similar and it just didn't turn out right. I'm growing it out now.
Lane needs to quit getting hurt so much so you don't get anymore grey hairs. hahahahh I really can't seem them in that picture.
Aren't you sassy?!?
Glad you're getting all settled in your house! :)
