We had our first emergency room visit with Lane today. He was running around and I was doing dishes when Emma yelled Lane's bleeding. I looked over and Lane was turning around in circles on the ground holding his head, bleeding all over the place. As near as we could tell he must have slammed into the key board shelf of the desk, you know the metal rolling corner part. I picked him up and put him on the table and held him, while Joe got a towel wet and started cleaning him up. It was deep enough for stitches so I started calling people to see if someone could stay with the other 3 while we took him up to the ER. It happened at about 7:45 pm and we got up to the ER and finished checking in at about 8:30 pm. They put on some numbing gel about 3 times in the next hour and finally stitched it up. He didn't cry or anything he held very still and did great. Joe held his head so that he wouldn't move it while they put the needle of more numbing stuff and then while they stitched it and all I did was hold his hand. He didn't try to pull away or anything. It was actually rather pleasant considering the circumstances. The doctor said that he did awesome and that it's only about once every 6 months or so that they get a child that does so well. So good job for Lane we were very proud of him tonight. Here are some pictures of his battle wounds!!! :)

L's two stitches & a bit of a bruise!
Lane's cool "boy" bracelet...
He wasn't very happy about the blood on his shirt. Emma had a harder time with Lane's mishap than he was. She almost started crying. Joe was like Emma it's okay he's going to be just fine. She said I know it just makes me sad when my family gets hurt! It was very cute. She was very attentive to him and made sure he was doing good. When she went to bed and said good night to him she hugged him and kissed him on the cheek and told him that she was sorry he got hurt! It was very sweet...
