Yesterday the kids decided to be disobedient and go play in Grandma & Grandpa's pond. Lane & Olivia were soaking wet and Eliza was on her way down when she fell and sliced her hand on a really sharp rock. She had blood ALL over herself. We got the blood rinsed off so we could see where the problem was and then finally got the bleeding stopped and got her fixed up. It was a pretty good gash. I put some new skin on it. I'm so glad Joe's parents had some and then me bandaged it up. This is her yesterday freaking out still. The new skin really stings when it goes on. She wasn't happy about that.
This is Eliza's hand this morning. You can see how long it is and it was pretty dang deep. I put some more new skin on it this morning and pulled it as tight as I could together, again. I'm just hoping that it stays tight.
All of the kids got to go to bed really early last night as punishment. We fed them dinner and then they were in bed by 7 pm. Olivia went right to sleep. She wouldn't take a nap earlier and then Lane & Eliza didn't actually fall asleep until 9:30ish. Dang kids. They lied there most of the time and then got in trouble several time for playing. I'm so glad that it wasn't something worse. Especially with out having insurance! Well we have insurance I just don't think it transfers over to Washington. Ahhhh the joys of parenthood and being with out a home! :)

sounds like your having a great time!;) Well the kids at least. Hope today is better. Any news on the house front?
Yes, hoping today is a better day. I know how hard it is to live with in-laws. It's so hard not being in your own home. One reason I don't like sleeping at Grandmas- bedtime. But I do it anyway.
I'm so sorry! I love when my kids do crap like that. And, they do that kind of crap all too often! Sorry!
I'm so glad her hand wasn't worse!
Oh, how much fun. Nothing like a good gash to get your day going. The mini hunk had his first visit to the emergency joint yesterday...a gash on his eye. Must be the weather or something!
Oh, I am having a giveaway...stop by and check it out.
Happy house hunting...I will say a prayer.
Your insurance should work out of state but it would probably be "our of network" coverage. Not as good.
It looks like it could almost have needed stitches. Poor you. Do you have her tetnus shots up to date? What a minute you are married to a nurse all this would have been discussed a lot of time already.
You are a saint. This kind of trama would be a lot for me.
Thank goodness for New Skin. Looks like a nasty cut.
Must have been something in the air. We had a ROTTEN day around here with kid behavior and POOR CHOICES as well. My two year old is the king of terror, and though HE didn't end up with bodily injury, my house hasn't been same since. I blogged about "it's a full moon" the other day if you care to read more about it. Might make you feel a little better?
Love the slide show down the side! very cute
Dang! I really think they encourage each other. hehe
Awwwww poor thing!! I'm sure I'll be needing bandaids soon since the baby is just entering that stage of bumps and scrapes!
I'm baaaack! I was gone for so long...updated my blog with the story! :-)
~melody~
And that's what you get for saying you had nothing to blog about...
Just kidding!!!
It can only get better, right?
Oh, I can't even imagine. I want to duct tape mine to the kitchen chairs and I am not living out of a hotel!
So is your hubby working?
I hope good things happen soon. You are in my prayers, mind you I keep asking help with being kind to my kids too, and that hasn't happened yet either.
Poor little one.
I mean you too mom.
Probably more for mom than little one.
I really hope that everything falls into place for you really soon.
It's bound to get better anyway.
At least you have family you can stay with.
ack! huge stress! super glue works too. and might be a stronger hold. my friend uses it on everyone.
that is never fun worrying about what to do. and when it's going to fall into place.
hang in there. and just keep swimming!
Ooh, I'll have to get some of that New Skin. We've never tried it. Poor Eliza, she really felt the pain of disobedience.
Ouch...what a day!
Ouch that looks like it had to hurt. I feel bad for you what a pain.
Ouch!
little bad things always happened to my kids when they have too much fun. but it is worth it.
