What a day yesterday was. The kids KNEW first thing in the morning that Joe was going to be gone all day. I just know they did... They where terrible. They were into EVERYTHING, fighting and just getting on my nerves. I had to separate Lane and Olivia at nap time because they kept playing around. I put Lane on the couch and he went to sleep quickly but that meant I couldn't do anything because he's such a light sleeper. So I got to read. Which is great because I'd rather read than clean anyday. When I left the front room to shower Lane was still sleeping and then I thought that I heard someone say mommy so I listened again and didn't hear anything so I thought it was just me imagining it. I hear it so much in a day that I think I hear it when I really don't sometimes. But this time I really did hear it. Eliza woke up and decided to wake up Lane in the process. He only slept for about an hour. Maybe a little less. So he wasn't as rested as he should have been. I finally got tired of them and luckily it was pretty nice yesterday so I kicked them all outside. Not that it took much convincing. They played from 2:30 to 6:30 when I finally had dinner done. It was so nice and peaceful.
I started cooking dinner at 4:30. Okay actually that's when I started the dishes and then about 5:00 I started to cook. The worst thing is that I was only making spaghetti. You might thing wow she must have made homemade noodles, sauce and everything to take an hour and half to cook it. Yeah, not so much. The stupid burner on the stove broke. So while I was cleaning the kitchen and waiting for the water to boil nothing was really happening. When I finally realized that something surely should have been happening by now. It was 5:30... A nice waste of 1/2 an hour. The dang thing has been giving us issues for a couple of months but finally died last night. Joe was home which is good because I would have had to boil a big pot of noodles on a small little burner seeing that our stove only has 3 small burners and 1 big one. I have to say when we do buy a stove it will have at least 2 large burners. Only having 1 sucks. Anyway Joe switched the switches so that the left front burner was now not working and plugged that one into the large burner spot. I had to really THINK when I was turning up the heat or down the heat as to which burner I was using. After a day like I had that was rather difficult. I had to us the left front burner knob for the right front burner. But I had the back left burner on as well and they're right next to each other. It did not look right... So it took and hour and a half to cook spaghetti when usually it only take 1/2 hour if that. Luckily the kids were having a blast outside playing. The part I hate the worst is cleaning up the kids after playing outside. They're always so FILTHY... Joe did it last night so that was very nice.
I thought this was a cute picture... Butt's and all...
Lane wanted Eliza to push him...
In the video you can here Lane & Eliza running to the swing saying, nun in nun in nun in nun in nun BATMAN!!! FUNNY... Then you'll hear Lane say, "You push me Eliza?" Isn't that nice how Eliza pushes Lane so hard that she pushes him right out of the swing! The sound wasn't very good since I was so far back from them so I'm not sure if you'll be able to hear it. You may need to turn your sound up a bit!

I know what you mean about the stupid stove. I don't like having just one big burner. How annoying. You don't have a stove like Rachaels do you? Maytag? That would be confusing to turn the burner on with the wrong switch hahaha. So yours and Rachaels stoves don't work and our heat in our apartment won't come on. There's always a problem or maintenance needed somewhere!
It's an admiral? Very old and ugly mustard yello. I have the OLD reason for mine breaking as Rachel said last night however her's is only 1 1/2 years old I think and that's gotta be very frustrating. Joe still has to do the winter maint on our furnace before we turn it on... it's a balmy 60 degree's in our house right now and the kids are all in shorts. I think they're crazy!
NICE! Glad your kids gave you a break! Lovely when they play nice together. Sorry about your stove... At least joe was able to make it work. Even if you have to think backwards now.:)
I love your video!
