We drove & drove & drove...

I was starting to feel like I was 100 all stoved up and couldn't hardly walk after all the driving that we did this weekend. Here's our itinerary:
  • Friday: Drive to The Dalles, get my sister and brother-in-law then drive to Redmond
  • Saturday: Drive from Redmond to Medford and then back to Redmond
  • Sunday: Drive from Redmond to The Dalles and then back home again
  • FRIDAY, SATURDAY & SUNDAY DRIVING = 1007.6 miles!!! YUCK!!!
Driving on Friday wasn't too bad we left at 1:30 and got to The Dalles at 4:00 and let the kids play at the play ground for 1/2 hour. Then went to my sisters house got her & her hubby and went to good old McDonald's to feed the kids before we headed off to Redmond. We got to Redmond at about 8:30 and got the kids to bed around 9:30, probably. We all went to bed around 11:00 and I got up at 20 to 6 am so we could get everyone ready. We left Redmond at about 7:30 am, fueled up in Bend and were off to Medford. We had to stop in La Pine for a potty break for the twins. We finally got to the state park at about 11:30 am. It was nice to see some cousins that we hadn't seen in some 10+ years.

This is Emma with her most favorite cousin in the whole world, Elena! :) Her words exactly.
At about 4:30 pm Eliza had a breakdown, probably from being tired from not having a nap in 2 days. So we got ready to go said our good byes and left. Finally we got back to my folks at 7:30 pm. Got some quick pizza for dinner and got kids to bed about 9ish. Then my awesome sister fixed some bracelets for me and made me some new beautiful and stylish one's. I love them Gayle. Thanks. Here are some pictures of the bracelets. These are the new ones! And yes she does sell them also!!! She has a web site that I'll post once I get it again!

This one she made me is with all my kids birth stones on it but I told her the wrong size so it was too big. She didn't like it anymore so she re-styled it, I guess you would say. I love it. Very classy!

These are more that she fixed for me!

Sunday morning we got up when the kids did around 7:30 ish. Dad made us pancakes & eggs, which the kids devoured and lazily got stuff packed up and ready to leave. We left Redmond around 10:30 am or so after making a quick turn around because I forgot my phone! We finally got back to The Dalles at 1:30 pm but stayed there for an hour or so and hung out so my dead phone could charge and the kids could run around a bit. Emma, Eliza & Olivia got there fingers & toes painted and then we headed home at about 3 ish. As soon as we were on the road I could definitely tell there was no long a male influence in the vehicle because the kids switched gears so fast, but were still semi manageable. About an hour before we got home all the kids started freaking out, screaming, crying and just driving me crazy. I had to pull over once and have words with Eliza because she seemed to think it wasn't necessary for her to stay buckled in her seat. And FINALLY at 5:30 pm we pulled into town and not a minute to late either. Any longer and who knows what could have happened. I think next trip I'll bring ear plugs. All I have to say is Thanks Gayle & Steve for coming with me because I wouldn't have come without you! And that last hour verified that! :) Love Ya!

To top off our long weekend our fridge quit working. So this morning after Emma's swimming lesson's I had to go find a part. Yeahhhhh our fridge works again. I'm so grateful for a husband that is mechanically minded because my mind doesn't work that way I can't even imaging the way a machine works. All I know is that it does work and I'm so glad that they do.

This is the part that was broken to think that one little motor can do so much harm. Luckily we salvaged most of the food in the fridge & freezer! I know this was long winded but I haven't posted for 3 days. Hopefully you weren't too BORED!
