1. What can cheer you up when you're feeling grumpy?
this is almost as small as the one we looked at only bigger! Yeah there was actually only a shelf against the wall on the one we decided against!
2. Give one feature that could make or break the deal if you were shopping for a new home.
Well we ruled out one house that was FANTASTIC with a beautifully landscaped lawn, living & fam room and just perfect in MT because it didn't have a dining room and we feel that it's really important to eat meals together as a family!

3. What's the craziest thing you've ever let your children eat for breakfast?
I've never really fed them anything crazy the worst thing was maybe doughnuts...

4. If you are a 'watch what you eat' kind of person, share a meal or dish that makes it easier to diet.
I like chicken and luckily it's healthy... but I hate cooking in general. I love a good grilled chicken salad though...
(Obviously this isn't my sister but the hair by his ear is what her eyebrows looked like! We were really surprised that my mom never noticed!)
5. Is there something you used to do as a child that you would never let your children do now?
Tons of things... Not that my parents knew that we did the dumb things we did and I probably won't know all the things that my kids do... To name a few "stupid" things... Once we went behind the shop in our backyard and smoked hay. Yeah, hay... STUPID... Now I think of all the things that could have gone wrong like burning down the shop and house and who knows what else... When we did this one of my sisters singed (That does not look right but I looked it up and it says singe, scorch or sear...) her eyebrows. I remember rushing her into the house and saying you idiot you're going to get us in so much trouble and then we worked on scrubbing her eyebrows hoping to get them to look normal again. Well I guess you only get one since I can't think of anything else right now that I'm willing to admit too! :)
(I'm SOOO not into lots of piercings like these! My kids will be allowed once hole in each ear... When they move out I guess they can do whatever they want but I really don't care for that "look"!)
(I could never pierce my babies ears because I was afraid of this happening.) 6. If you have a daughter, are her ears pierced? When did you allow it?
Emma is the only one who has her ears pierced and she's been asking to have them pierced since she was 5. We allowed it on her 8th birthday. She loves them pierced.

7. Are you the only person in your house who changes the TP roll??
Most of the time it's me just because I'm home more but Joe does change it if it needs to be done.
8. How old were you when you no longer lived with a parent(s) for the first time?
Right after I graduated from high school (18) I spread my wings and went to SLC, Utah. I stayed there for about 1 - 1/2 years. Found a good job as a secretary at the U of U then transferred to be a Billing Clerk and went to school for a while. I came home for Christmas and got in a car wreck on New Years Eve totalling my sisters car. I got hit by a drunk driver who ran a red light and then turned around in a parking lot and decided it would be fun to then rear end me. So it ended up being a hit and run twice in the same night by the same guy. Crazy... I broke my leg so couldn't really go back to Utah and ended up staying in OR. Just after that I got my job at State Farm and then started studying for my Agents licence. I think I lived at home for about 6 months or so and then moved out again. So I guess the accident was a good thing in the long run because I would never have met Joe had I not moved back...

Wow! I'm honored that your last post was MY GAME! :) Thanks for playing!
Love that movie!!
And I'm so glad you came to your senses about smoking hay! LOL
Have a safe trip to your new home!
This was fun! I love chicken too - thank goodness for chicken! I also have lots of things I did as a kid that I WOULD NOT want my kids to ever do!
Have a great weekend - Kellan
Fun game/tag thing. Interesting new things about you.
I love How to Lose a Guy in 10 days.
Totally agree that dinner time is so important.
And Mmmm Maple Bars are my favorite donut!!
Crazy New Years Eve story. But I guess if that's how you met your hubby it has a happy ending :)
Fun post! Have moving into your new house!
have a new 'happy' house. we always wanted to have 'our home our heaven'. hope you have yours.
about pierce... we put it on our baby girls on their first days born..
That is crazy about the drunk driver! And yes, there are many things I will not be sharing about what I did growing up with my kids. And I am the only one that knows how to work the tp holder. Seriously! This was fun to read.
Ok, the part about smoking hay was funny! I did some crazy stuff as a child, too.
Best of luck with the moving in!
Poor babies ear!! :(
Love this post! XOXO
Oh goodness...I'm thinking about your question about is there anything I was allowed to do that I wouldn't let my child....wear SHORT SHORT SHORT shorts. My mom had no problem with it being that she wore hotpants on the runway when she was a model back in her day. I will NOT be letting my little girl do that. I'm sure it won't be that easy either. lol
~melody~
I'm totally the only one that changes the TP. Drives me nuts.
These were so fun to read. I especially loved the smoking hay one. :)
I am just thinking about the TP question. I am the ONLY person who changes it and it drives me crazy!! I have even left the empty roll on there and wrote a note to people to change... It is just annoying. hahahah
Oh how I love maple bars.
Failure to launch was a pretty funny movie.
Love this post! And, yes I AM the only one who changes the TP roll! What the crap?
