I made a recipe that my mom used to make when we were growing up, but put a twist on it and added cheese... It was really good and added a little more moisture to it. The kids loved it. L ate 3 biscuits. The girls are still not quite themselves yet so didn't eat much of anything.

Cheese Biscuits from the Better Homes and Gardens Cook Book
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
2 teaspoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup shortening, margarine, or butter
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
2/3 cup milk

In a bowl stir together flour, baking powder, sugar, cream of tartar, and salt. Cut in shortening, margarine or butter till mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add cheese. Make a well in the center; add milk all at once. Stir just till dough clings together.

On a lightly floured surface, knead dough gently for 10 to 12 strokes. Roll or pat dough to 1/2-inch thickness. But with a 2 1/2-inch biscuit cutter, dipping cutter into flour between cuts.

Transfer biscuits to a baking sheet. Bake in a 450 degree oven for 10 to 12 minutes or till golden brown. Serve warm. Makes 10.

Here is a picture of Lane again. He is starting to heal but is now getting a black eye. It doesn't seem to bother him though and he doesn't complain about it hurting unless one of the kids touch it or hit it, usually by accident.

Eliza & Olivia threw up last night some time. They never cried so we didn't know until Joe got them up this morning. Poor Olivia had it the worst. She was sitting with Joe watching a movie when all of a sudden he said he felt something warm on his leg and yes she had vomited again! Poor baby. Joe was letting me sleep in and all I heard was a loud, ahhh man. He took care of Olivia cleaned her up and gave her a bath. I got up to see what was going on and saw the mess on Joe's chair so cleaned it up and then went to see what was up! They're both doing fine now so it must have just been a 12 hour bug or something.

Poor Lane it looks worse now than before... Sorry about the puke I totally understand what your dealing with. Parker was back to his old self come Monday morning. I don't get it.
Your recipe looks good but I don't think I can make them you remember the last time I tried to make something out of that book... Yes the cinnamon ones.. Ya they were nothing like your yummy ones. So I figure I know they won't turn out so why bother. I'm glad your a good baker! Can you sprinkle some of your baking goodness over my way? :)
