I think that there's an end but we'll see tomorrow. We dug out the rest of the side walk meaning the extra dirt and stuff to make it level so we could add the rocks and forms for the cement. Yuck work. My hands hurt from shoveling and my feet hurt from working in the hot nasty weather. We started working at 1:00 pm and finally finished at 9:15 pm. Of course I had a good break from about 6:30 to 8:30 while I fed, bathed and got kids ready for and in bed. But Joe was pretty much non-stop the whole time. His longest break was returning BBQ's to people from the 24th of July party that her cooked all the meat for and turned out so yummy! And then a break to get some 16 foot long 2x4's for the forms.
Emma was a pretty good helper and the other kids after their naps pretty much were a pain. We finally got so tired of Eliza's help that she got to hang out in the pickup with the rocks while Joe shoveled them out and I tried to level them. Such fun or not so much. I'm just glad we're almost done. Now we get to wait for the city to come and inspect the forms/gravel and then we get to deal with the cement. Hopefully it won't be to terrible. Tomorrow I'll post our lovely new side walk, hopefully...

UGH!!! Sounds like a bunch of hot, sticky work!!! But at least you will have a nice, pretty, new sidewalk!
However I think that if the city is going to be THAT picky about it, they should do it themselves!!
Oh yes, they would love to do it for us and charge us over the next 10 years to pay for it also. But of junk. But we don't actually even own the side walk, but because it's on our property we have to pay for all the repairs...
Ahh the joys of living in the city....... You know I have never lived in the city, I guess I have always been a Country bumpkin! :) Well at least the sidewalk is almost done. Yippee that ought to feel good! It will be over soon you know kinda like death...:) I'll call ya later about scrappin'
