We had a big storm last night and this morning. I had a heck of a time getting the garbage can out to the road. And then to find out that they are a day behind and won't be here until tomorrow to pick it up. We've got a good couple of feet out there. The drifts are even worse... The kids have been dying to play outside in the snow. The wind stopped and it "seemed" okay out. Not to cold like it has been. So I let them go out with all their gear on, of course. Here's Emma laying on the back porch.

Eliza trying to smile while she's crying. I guess she feel off of the sled.

Eliza making her snow angel.

All the kids plus a neighbor kids... Emma is sitting just below the snow drift and Lane and Olivia are on the other side of it. About 3 feet or so!

More fun.

Emma and her snow angel.

Lane & Olivia...

Lane wanted to get the snow out from between the screen and the door.

Lane is trying to do a snow ball but not having much luck... It's not sticky snow... I caught him putting snow of his face! Which is why he came inside right after this next picture...

Check out those cheeks. Eliza is actually the first one to come inside. She was saying that her butt was cold. I didn't get why it would be cold she has great snow pants... Well she took off her pants and that's when everything became clear. She never put pants on underneath the snow pants and then she didn't even buckle the snow pants so snow was getting down her pants. He unders where completely soaked on her back side! Poor girl... I got her in and warmed up, watching a movie while I started getting the rest of the kids inside.

I noticed something just like this on Eliza after she came inside. Which I'm pretty sure was the beginning of frost bite? I'm not sure and I'm not a professional but it freaked me out a bit and that's when I brought the rest of the kids inside. This is Lanes arm just above his gloves where snow got in...

His cheeks! It was swollen! And look at his little ears. He even had a hat to cover them up too.

This is Livvy just before she came in. She was not happy that I made her come in. Actually none of the kids where except of course Eliza.

The kids never had naps today and where OUT in minutes... I went in to check on them and this is how I found Lane!

What a fun day outside!!!
My kids wanted to go outside today, but I was to afraid to send them outside, because it's too cold!
Looks like your kiddos had a blast and they are going to sleep like angels tonight!
your kids are so darn cute. I love the picture of her crying and trying to smile. hehe. Kylers toes were completly white one day when he came in, I wondered if it was the beg of frost bite also.
I used to love days like that when I was a kid! My boys would like some snow. Me, not so much.
That snow is unbelievable. I'm laughing so hard at all your frozen cheeks! ROFLOL!
I'm a little jealous we haven't had a good snow yet this winter. We did get a little this morning but by the time my kids got up it was all melted. Looks like your kiddos had a great time in the snow. I can't wait for us to get some.
cute pictures! looks like alot of fun! our snow is finally starting to go away here! Thank goodness! looks like yours is going to be sticking around for awhile!
Wow-- that's a lot of snow! Hope you had a Merry Christmas!
Talk about ROSY CHEEKS!! Your little guy has my sympathy - I went sledding with our little guy the day after Christmas and ended up with hives on my face from the cold! I'm allergic to cold, apparently!
I can't believe how cold it gets there! Guess I can't complain here anymore.
woo hoo, I wonder if I can make it to stand and play out side there.
mel, can you send me some snow? I want to know how it feels to touch it :D
