A couple of days ago I made Chicken and Rice... This recipe... I took the leftover chicken and de-boned it and then threw it in a pot and cooked up some quick chicken noodle soup and with the -20 degree weather it was wonderful! I just threw the chicken in this pot with 4 cans of chicken broth and filled the rest of the pot up with water then added maybe 2 tsp of chicken bouillon, some pepper and garlic salt, peas and some carrots. Then I brought it to a boil and added my noodles. Cooked the noodles until they were tender and it was done!
Lane decided that he would try to help Olivia open a package with this knife....
First of all it's a huge knife for the little project, second of all he KNOWS he isn't supposed to touch knives! Well he learned his lesson tonight! This was all of 15 minutes after Joe left for work. So I called him and told him what Lane did and that it was pretty deep but not very long... I told Joe that I thought I could just support it somehow so Lane couldn't bend it and hopefully it would be fine since it had pretty much stopped bleeding... Joe agreed with the immobilizing and had me look to make sure it wasn't deep enough to hit a tendon or bone!

I'm in my mid-to-late-20's-early-thirties and I STILL haven't learned my lesson when it comes to sharp knives!
I hate my childrens blood. and those feelings of how bad (those that come so fast, your heart jumps) then after you get your head together, find the legos, eheh its alright. Great JOB Dr Mom.
I have been making soup ALOT too. I think I may do chili this week too. It really helps food go far too.
