♥ Thanksgiving...

Well we had our Thanksgiving on Sunday... Joe's brother and his family came over for an early Thanksgiving since Joe has to work on the "real" Thanksgiving and so does his brother. We had a really nice time and visit. The kids had fun playing together. They played outside also even though it was FREEZING! Eliza came inside and her whole body was like an ice cycle... We did the traditional Thanksgiving meal... Turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, devilled eggs, olives, cranberry sauce, stuffing and rolls.

Here is my pumpkin pie. This has to be my favorite pie ever. I always leave out the ginger and all spice though. It finally finished cooking but the whole annoying fluctuation in heat was driving me crazy. I had to check it every 10 minutes to make sure it wasn't going to burn and that the temp wasn't going to go up... Which should explain the 3 knife marks in the pie... I'm happy to say no burning occurred! Oh yeah the recipe is the classic Libby's Pumpkin Pie...

I also made a Cherry Cream Cheese Pie... I love this pie it's so easy and fast to make! This is Joe's mom's recipe.

Cherry Cream cheese Pie

1 - 8 ounce pkg of Cream Cheese
1 cup of powdered sugar
1-1/2 to 2 cups of cool whip

Combine through it in a graham cracker crust and then top with cherry pie filling!

Oh so easy and tasty! :)
