Can I just say how utterly frustrated I was and still am!
My kids have been nothing but a pain in the butt most of the day... The beginning was alright. The middle and end SUCKED!!!
I tried to go grocery shopping. First we went to JC Penny's to check out their 75% off stuff. We were in there for 5 minutes and they had nothing. The kids were great! I had to get after them once. Then we went into Lowe's to grab my outside light covers for my porch. I found some great ones! Love them hopefully I can post about them in the next couple of day... I'm a wimp and can't move the screws with my fingers and can't find any pliers so I have to wait for Joe's day off. Anyway the kids were great in there. We were in there for maybe 15 minutes. I knew what I wanted... Then we go by Albertson's and all I need is to grab some milk and some coupon specials... They lasted all of maybe 5 minutes and turned into crazy, loud, yelling, fighting brats. I even bribed them that I'd get them a hamburger at McD's before we went in, if they were good. Yeah lets just say they didn't get ANYTHING but Pb&j at home!
I even made sure that it was in the morning, long before lunch time so they wouldn't be cranky. Do you think it helped? Not so much. I put them to bed just as soon as they finished eating and they slept for 3 hours. YAY!!! After that they were pretty good until it was time for them to clean their rooms. Lane did great and had it cleaned in no time flat. Of course he had his toys put away in his dresser but heck they were put away and I didn't have to look at them. It works for me! Olivia and Eliza holy crap that was a mess... I had to be in there "directing" or rather yelling at them to do stuff the whole stinking time. It's so frustrating. Eliza tries to do ALLL she can to get out of work. Emma that is just a whole other story. I think she must have been beyond tired because she had a freaking temper tantrums. SERIOUSLY she is 8!!! She even woke Joe up throwing her little well BIG fit and he had ear plugs in! There was even slithering down to the floor and a bit of thrashing around. To say the least she lost her privilege of playing with the neighbor friend for the rest of the week!
Then we move on to the night time ritual that I hate. Up and down and I have to pee and poo and do anything at all possible to stay up a little bit longer! ERRRRRR.... I'm ready to just burst. Finally with my last and final threat they are FINALLY staying in bed. It only took a 1/2 hour! Now I'm ready to watch a movie and relax without the screaming, fighting and yelling!!!
Here's to a better day tomorrow! I'm crossing my fingers and eyes and anything else that might just make it possible. Oh and a big old prayer too, of course!!!

I don't think there's a mommy anywhere who hasn't had such a day.
I am blessed with a short term memory with that stuff...I start the next day as if the one before never happened...it IS a blessing or else I'd dread them getting up each day!! LOL

Oh my what a day! I know exactly what you mean about bed time antics. The bathroom trips and I want a drinks make me bonkers!

Why is motherhood so hard!! I want to strangle my 4 year old most days. Everything is such a power struggle.
Our biggest fights are breakfast time. Luckily Dad is around for bed time.
I keep thinking about the scripture..."behold your little ones" But still don't understand why it is so hard most days.
I like what my goodness said above, start tomorrow fresh. And what you said, say a BIG prayer.

I hate days like that. I can totally relate to the shopping thing and the cleaning thing oh how it gets to me. Right now it is mom is busy with the baby so I can do whatever but let me tell you, it can drive ya nuts.
Yeah my day was crazy yesterday too. Kids should have been in school it was a BAD DAY! Your not alone.... At least you only had 4 screaming at you I had 5!
