We made root beer last week and the kids loved the smoke!!! Homemade root beer is the best!

And lastly I harvested some potatoes from our garden... the grasshoppers are horrible this year... so the plants were all dead. We went out there and found some good sized ones and some that were tiny like the size of a cherry tomato but I cooked them anyway and they were fabulous!!! THIS is one of our favorite recipes...
These are the biggest ones out of the whole bunch... I was just excited that we got anything before those darn hoppers ate everything!
So all in all not much going on around here... maybe someday I'll have something fun to post about!

Yes share your root beer recipe!! We love LOVE root beer around here! I guess you could say it's the drink of choice!

I just realized how I miss the kids. it's been 3 weeks I didn't do blogging.
those little red pototes are the best to make cream peas and potatoes! I'll email my recipe if you want it. Sorry the stupid grasshoppers ate your plants! they are such pests they love my rose bush leaves too. Tonight one of my boys shot a grasshopper with his airsoft rifle. It really smashed the thing up.
