I put my Christmas tree up today... I love Christmas and all the decorations... My tree isn't the best out there but I'm slowly getting ornaments that I like and now that I don't have to worry about little kids breaking them it's so much more fun!
I found this tree skirt last year on clearance for $6 instead of $30... I love it.
...then I found these glass snowmen on clearance last year also for 50 cents.
Tonight we had the missionaries over for dinner. I made Chicken Fettuccine well actually I just made the Fettuccine part and Joe bbq'd the chicken. It was so good and I'd say was pretty dang close to the Olive Garden recipe that I LOVE! I also made bread sticks which were very similar also...
This is the recipe for the Fettuccine:
1/2 cup butter
2 tablespoons cream cheese
1 pint heavy cream (I used half and half, it was cheaper and not as fattening and tasted just as good!)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
2/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese (preferably fresh)
1 lb fettuccine, prepared as directed
Directions
In a medium saucepan, melt butter. When butter is melted, add cream cheese. When the cream cheese is softened, add heavy cream. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 15-20 minutes over low heat, stirring constantly. Add Parmesan and continue stirring until melted and it thickens. Serve over hot fettuccine noodles.Bread Stick recipe... In your stand-mixer or breadmachine, mix together, until well mixed:
1 1/3 cups of water
4 tsp soft butter
4 cups of flour
2 Tbsp sugar
2 tsp salt
2 tsp yeast Divide into 16 sections roll into long bread sticks. Let rise for 45 minutes. Brush melted butter over sticks then sprinkle on garlic salt. Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown. Remove from oven and spread with a little more butter.

Hope you enjoy your day. I just finished making breakfast burritos for everyone, don't want tummys growling in church this morning..... though sometimes I admit it does happen..

Beautiful tree! Isn't it so fun to pull out the things you bought on clearance the previous year? Love that! I'll have to try that recipe. Olive Garden is one of my favorites :)

Your tree looks great. I love buying Christmas things on clearance, then sticking them away until next year. It's fun to get new stuff the next year.
