Can you tell why I hate gas ovens??? The lighter one was my first batch... I put the oven at 350 and it heated the oven up to 450 so I turned it down a smidge and it decided to go all the way down to 250 so it took 40 minutes to bake the first batch even when I turned it back up again... the second batch took 15 minutes and was over done... Ticks me off!!!

I prefer electric too!
I only have gas. have to love it, like it or not.
hm... the darker ones look better to me. do they?
I love my gas oven, sounds like you might need a new thermostat.
