We took the kids to the lake yesterday! They had a blast!!! They were very happy with their dad's crazy driving... Olivia kept saying that's hilarious (with Joe's driving)!!! Emma and Joe "tried" to fish but it was just too boring for the other kids!

Then we pulled over to the shore so the could play around in the water for a bit. The mud made it pretty nasty looking so we ended up putting them back in the boat and we headed back to the middle of the lake and Joe put them in the lake and gave them a good rinsing!
We loaded up made some dinner and headed home. For desert the kids made cake in a mug that I got off of Carries blog! The kids had a blast making it! Although this morning Emma decided she wanted to finish hers and she stuck it back into the microwave to "warm" it up... It burned and stunk up the whole house!!!

I did the cake in the mug, but used my 2 cup pyrex measuring cup. It worked pretty well.

I'm gonna try that cake in a mug. What about cake in a bowl? Or cake in a paper sack? Cake in my mouth right now is the best.

we have a lake near my parents house, a dam actually. my kids also enjoy going there, but there is no way I will ever let them swim there. it is sooo deep.

I've never seen a cake in a mug? My kids would love that! Right now they think tortillas are pretty magical so it won't be hard ;).
