It has been SOOO cold around here the last couple of weeks! The kids have been bundling up like this to catch the bus. It's been as low as -23 degrees in the morning when they've left. They haven't complained about being cold yet though!
Last night Joe had to work and I wanted to go do some Black Friday shopping so I was trying to figure out what I might do when my friend called and offered to watch my kids for me so I could go. She had a couple of things that she wanted to get too but hates shopping so it was a fabulous trade!!! I got to shop kidless and she didn't have to AT ALL! I took another friend with me to the midnight walmart deals and we had a blast. We saw our fair share of "crazies" but had a fun time. By them time I dropped her off and got home it was 2am. I set my alarm for 5am and went straight to bed. Then instead of my alarm clock waking me it was my car alarm blaring and screaming. Startled the heck out of me. I'm not sure what set it off? That happened at 4:50ish so up I stayed and off to town again, I went. I hit JoAnns where I got some free scissors, grabbed my flannel and stood in line FOREVER! They had 3 cutters. Ridiculous! Finally they had 2 more come up so after an hour of waiting in line it was time to check out where I got to stand in line AGAIN for half an hour this time. So boring! I then went to Target grabbed what I needed there and headed back to pick up the kids. I got there around 9am without any weather issues UNTIL I drove into my friends driveway and hit a snow drift that I thought was just the road. Dang car got stuck so my friend was pushing and I was driving. We finally got it. Then on our way home hit some more drifts but we were going fast enough it was okay. Crazy weather and the drifting. It's amazing how fast it piles up.
We got home and I was/AM so tired! 3 hours just doesn't work for me. The kids wanted to put up Christmas decorations so I told them they had to clean the house first and they DID IT! Totally impressed. Of course it wasn't completely what I would do myself but whatever it was good! So here is our tree. The kids decorated the majority of it. I just strung the lights.
My "sort of" new pre-lit garland that I got last year on clearance for 2.99 instead of 29.99...
... and my "older" angels that my Mom made years ago. I still love them!
Last year I bought a plain wreath on clearance too and some garland and ribbon and made this! I love it! I got the little Santa holder for cheap too. I think it was .69 cents. I needed my sister here to make my bow however my poor excuse for a bow will have to do. We have a screen door so this is it on the regular door. Which I love! But then you can't see it as well with the screen closed! but....
this is what it looks like on the screen door and I don't like it either! Especially since it's just a matter of time that the kids will let the screen door slam and then it'll be gone... so behind the screen it'll stay.
While I was going through the pictures above I came across these... I'm guessing Emma was the one behind these... First one Olivia... not bad pretty cute...
then... HOLY CRAP what the heck... Seriously what I was thinking! s..c..a..r..y...

Then this...
OKAY! Definitely Emma was behind this. And I couldn't even post some of the pictures she took. Good grief they were retarded looking. SERIOUSLY! I had to delete them right then!
Most of the ones of Eliza were as bad if not worse than that first one of her and then I finally saw this one and it wasn't too bad.

I think I'm going to have to hide my camera from now on.

well I guess you are ready for christmas!
How nice for you to get all your shopping done. Lets just think an animal ran into your car so that we all feel safer. Your kids are so cute all wrapped up to go in the morning, maybe they will go to Russia on their mission and not think anything of it. :)
